Listening to him on MMM in Brisbane yesterday he was asked who was going to make up the top 4\. he replied Dragons, Roosters, Titans and "as much as I cant stand them the Tigers"

Great to know that we have gotten under his skin so much and another reason to despise the tool.
Think I might go watch the 2005 GF again. Great to see him acting like a spoilt 5 year old that night.

As much as he doesnt like us i would love to have him play for us..Benji , Robbie and JT combination … KFC finger licking ...! Dont want to rally for him but IMO he is the most gifted player ever (that i have seen)

no thanks we don't want a overrated temperamental hack on our team. he is most of the cowgirls problem he gets up his players the entire game

yeah, wrong attitude for us. wouldn't fit in.
For example, we all saw what Benji and the Tigers did for that kid Lleyton last week.
When the Cowpats played at Leichhardt a few weeks back, there was a school group from north qld somewhere. they had a banner and were paraded onto the ground at the end of the game. cowboys management was corralling the team so they could meat them and Thurston spat the dummy and led the team of the field. It was really poor form on his behalf.

Also he would ask for too much money meaning we would have to let heaps of players go.

are u guys serious, all ive ever read on here is ,is that we need a halfback since prince left, now ur telling me u wouldnt want the oz half back in our side, cmon guys be realistic not puppets

He is a really good player but we would have to pay him around $700,000 a year. We would have to let so many other good players go to get him. If there was no salary cap and we had the money then yeah for sure.

JT had previously arranged that they would be granted access to the Cowboys dressing room after the game. That is why he was headed back to the sheds.

As much as I don't care for him as a player in terms of some actions his time for fans and in particular younger fans has always been exemplary

Ditto, he always gives his head gear away to a child, I think that is a nice thing to do

Wonder why he hates us? Surely it's not 2005, thats a 5-year grudge to hold. And there was hardly any spice in that match between the teams, just a good game of footy.

I'm surprised to say the least. Still have to respect his passion.

I've hated Canberra since 89 and bulldogs since 88, so a 5 year grudge is nothing. It's what sport is made of.

I've hated Brisbane since they entered the comp, I don't even know why, sometimes you don't need a reason

I think you have things a bit askew there Pratten, JT ALWAYS has time for the kids and fans. He is always one of the last off the field as he hangs around and signs autographs and as others have said he regularly goes over to the crowd and hands his headgear to children.

On the field he can be a bit cantankarous but off it he promotes the game well.

Not a Thurston fan but can appreciate & admire his extraordinary talents. The above needs to be corrected as I dont like to see a players reputation tarnished incorrectly. It had been organised for the group to come into the sheds after the game for photo's etc, then a trainer tried to change it a get them onto the field. Thurston had a heated discussion with him as he didn't think it was the right look to be seen smiling & laughing infront of the cameras when they had just captitulated & given away an 18 point lead. Cant say I disagree with him.

He wouldn't fit in our team.

He's not a genuine halfback, he's the best 5/8th in the game and we have Benji who's 2nd/3rd.

I hate them both for the same reasons, I also hate Parramatta for Dennis Fitzgeralds comments that the merge between the Magpies and The Tigers, that we wouldn't amount to much so yea, a five year grudge is nothing
