His 7th tackle report on twitter re tigers reveals nothing new however the bit on brooks and moses and the relationship with JT does worry me. I can only assume that the senior forward is woods or Tapau!!

I dont know how to post the article but below in the link

Except neither of those 2 are "senior" forwards. I would assume it would be Galloway more likely

Its Galloway and Lawrence, and its old news.

It is a player who is asking for a release(I am getting the news secondhand so I may not be getting the whole story). This is shattering and leaves an extremely empty feeling. This thread should be closed before speculation starts happening. Players are people also & their feelings should also be considered & respected.

These sorts of stories are starting to emerge on the back of Marina Go's disclosure about the club's financial situation. Some journalists will look for negative stories which will only make our situation worse in terms of morale for those inside the club and out. The Board needs to go the next step on the back of the latest announcement from Ms Go and spell out as far as possible how they (management) plan to keep what we have and move forward to present the other side of the equation.

Probably - but the board overriding the football dept is not old news - if that's correct then we are well and truly stuffed. The whole point of the cleanout was to keep the business and football depts. apart. If its true the board let Martin GO ( get the pun ) to save $85k against the football depts. wishes then we have not progressed one step from the previous mess we were in - if any thing we have gone backwards - at least the old board would have kept Martin.

It's funny how in Go's article she was critical of the previous Board negotiating directly with players and their managers when it came to signing… yet here we have Josh claiming they have done that exact thing...oh what a tangled web we weave...

Exactly right Geo - they let someone with that level of ability loose for $85,000?
No wonder the football dept wasn't happy.
Interesting also about our halves being unhappy being forced to play within themselves.
I'd hazard a guess most of the team would feel the same.
Martin could likely see his future!
With our restricted roster you would think that you would want the players with real talent to actually be able to use it.

We are being set up for something big after 2016 peeps….no player signed beyond 2017 should spell it all

I'm not normally one to think it's the end of the world due to stories like this but yeah it's not looking good…

Relocation,Relocation,Relocation …..

That's what this article seems to lead to...financial mess, mismanagement, player disharmony and no player signings until 2017....

I certainly hope I'm wrong...if we are relocated because of the Independant board with the NRL influence,Rugby League will lose me forever....

Yeah I'll be out too. The nrl thinks we all just love the sport and will just follow the new team or pick another one. They have no idea the passion that goes into a lifetime of following one club.
Membership numbers may suggest otherwise but Wests Tigers does have a hell of alot of fans and I for one will be lost to the sport if i lose my team.

In 3 or 4 yrs I have a feeling the punch line could be "which club chose not to exercise an option on Martin's contract for just 85k?" It's a joke waiting to happen.

Well I suppose we all should enjoy the rest of the season and next as I have absolutely no confidence in Go or the independent board. Maybe the Wests group have said they will not take up the option on Balmains part of the venture which basically reins the prospects of the Weststigers moving forward in Sydney hence the non signing of players in the immediate future …. players will find it hard to relocate or not want to after 2016 .
The statement that Go has made this week only throws fuel on the relocation speculation it was a very poor response to the terrible season the club has had ,I am glad the board are backing Taylor seeing they were the ones that hired him!
My opinion is the Westsigers are shot ducks run by a board that is sitting on there hands while the owners of the club the NRL get there plans in order for a Perth move ..I do find it hard that the NRL which is struggling to put bums on seats will disenfranchise a huge section of there Sydney fan base .Oh well what to do after 2016.
If the board are serious about moving the Tigers forward in Sydney these speculations have to be squashed immediately as silence will point to the invertible!

I wouldn't be surprised if Marty was seeking a release. He'd be on minimum wage and he's practically carrying the side on his back with no reward. The club probably couldn't afford to pay him an extra cent next yr as an upgrade, so why wouldn't you want to look at your options if you were in his position.

All this negative press comes with being on the bottom of the table, they can not find anything positive so they write negative stuff and as the season rolls on their will be plenty more

They move us to Perth, I'm out. Not doing that s*** again.

I have only followed one side of the venture and the club as is for my entire life …I have seen the worst of the lows and Highs .This year is the first year that I am waving ..pretty much over the club really ,I have as with many here tolerated the rubbish that the club has dished up over the years and the negative statement made by Go this week has really pushed me over the edge, there just seems to be no end to the incompetent running of the club.
I will say one thing if I am at this point the club HAS a major problem as I have been rusted on my entire life but have had enough time to put up or close up!!!!.
