Josh Reynolds

I know his time here has been ordinary for both him and the club. I still don't mind the guy and wish him the best.

Props to the football department in managing to pull a few Christmas miracles. Some really good cap manoeuvres there.

With Reynolds gone it removes another excuse for non performance in 2021....

28 of the eventual 30 will All have been recruited re-signed/extended by the current recruitment team..

Not his team won't fly in 21...

Still have to have time to replace that player... otherwise, it is wasted cap, and it the same as having Reynolds

Most likely won’t affect our 2021 campaign at all. No good players on the market well most likely sign a rookie or two in his spot. Our roster stays pretty average overall

I would put this money aside for a rainy day ...... Cam Smith plays on and all of a sudden the other clubs are full and here we are with space and a lot of money for Harry...

Stop being such a negative nelly. Roberts, Tamou and Joe O all good signings. AD to 5/8. I think we’re better than last year. Need a backrower badly though.

It can’t carry over. We use it or lose it.

I know Harry is a great player but we need a good second rower more than anything. We really need two but I'll settle for one at the moment.

That can be useful when moving forward as the money can be used to front load some new signings freeing up cash for future years.

How many of them actually signed from outside tigers? Sometimes you re-sign guys because there’s no better options like Seyfarth. Obviously he should get them performing but I still don’t think we will make the 8 next season.

Doubt Reynolds money is used for much good anyway considering how little options there are on the player market at the moment

There’s very little on the market too. It won’t make a difference to our 2021 campaign at all most likely. Still an average roster overall.

How many signed outside the Wests Tigers?

Douiehi, Kapaoa, Leilua x2, Ofahengaue, Tamou, Musgrove, Simpkin, Roberts, Utoikamanu, Blore, Walters...about half of the 30 man roster

If they all perform at their best we will kill it. If Roberts and Joe O play like they did last year then we will be no better off. If we could finally find consistency and play well, then we will make the 8 no problem at all. The squad will need to improve on last year by quite a bit

There is an expectation that Blore will be one of those second rowers and that Garner was hampered by the decision to move him in 2020.

Less than half, and a couple of them rookies. Still a roster hamstrung by issues of the past. Obviously Madge needs to work with what he’s got but 2022 is still the big year where he will have a lot more choice in the squad. It’ll be interesting to see how the squad goes next season, they could kill it or they could flop imo

I’m less confident but intrigued to see how they go. We could surprise a lot of people if the boys played consistently or we might have a repeat of last year. Up to the coaches and players to get us into the 8 now.

Coaches that have been at their club a while. That’s why I think it’s so important we keep a coCh around for 4-5 years instead of starting over all the time.

Really interested to see how Roberts will go. He could flip or be the buy of the season. Really interested in a lot of individuals actually, plenty of storyline’s there to keep an eye on.

There’s a lot of posters on this forum taking the piss out of JR, but his style of play in the halves would definitely suit the ESL

I have no idea if you are right or not but he definitely wasn't suited to first grade footy here over the past couple of seasons.

Reynolds had a lot of injuries and couldnt really prove himself when fit...except for the few times he played alongside Brooks, funnily enough Brooks played some of his best football and the backline got more ball...hope he kills it in ESL...

Injuries and personal dramas combined meant that Josh was never going to live up to price tag.

Will give him this good team mate all the boys liked having him around, when he did play tried his best when selected but not enough game time to make any real impact.

Good luck in the UK think a new fresh start might be good for your game and a Win/Win for the club freeing up some salary cap $ at this time of year.
