Junior Pauga

I dunno, I just got around to watching Kimmorley on the after match interview, and he said, the players can’t do the basics. Is that true? They kind of proved it in the game, but still, I reckon that’s bs. The players have got no confidence, they’re just not tuned on. They need to get organised, toughen up a lot and win a few games. Then we might see some of the same players having more of an impact.
I do think it is true.

We have multiple guys who cannot do the basics.

Noddy was very bright as a player.

It is honestly a product of the modern dev system...a lot of players come through simply as they are bigger /stronger. Some barely know the rules...some have zero footy nous.

A lot of times athletes get those dev contracts over much better kids.

Papz a classic case for us...let go as "too small"...

Who even identified this guy to bring him down from Q cup?

Whoever did should be blacklisted from recruitment ever again

Awful player
Hopefully he won't be re-signed and he can head back to Qld as Captain/Coach somewhere and disperse his knowledge.

It's a braindead play. The only thing that can come from being over the 10m line at a dropout is a penalty. Offside or escort. They're the only 2 things you're setting yourself up for.

Sums us up really. A team that doesn't move up in D, a team that doesn't hit the advantage line, a team that doesn't know the rules.

Using the word team is not fitting. These 17 individuals shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as the word team.

Madge 100% was the reason.

He signed him an

Happens in all sports.

Golden State have lost to a bottom team. Man City have lost to relegated teams.

No one can be 'up mentally' every week.
perhaps Pauga just had one of those dumb moments i see a lot of players have and even some of those players at those big clubs have also had

Yes, he had a dumb moment.

But, my point is, he has those weekly in state cup.

He has played in state cup teams being absolutely lapped for ages...

I.e. we need some real depth.

I am not blaming him...we are the ones who called and signed him. He was playing for nothing in QLD cup at 25.

It is "us" who needs to find actual, real, NRL prospects.

outside the one play though he wasnt that bad infact didnt he even save a try ???
i thought he and To'a were our best backs and it wasnt even close
naden was ok in attack but his defense was bad and i think most of our tries were down that side with him and kepoa

Now is the time for emotionally charged essays on why the club is busted. Come on WTForum. Let's do this.
You could honestly write a whole paper on it...

Crazy thing is...we have basically handed the keys to the reinsto Sheensy, Warren Mc and Benji to save us...

The same people in power when it all started going wrong. You could not even make that up.

Either way, it will be interesting to see what happens...an amazing resurrection or complete doom.

I honestly don't know which way it will go...

Kepoa and Naden have made Nofa look like a defensive guru...

Agreed on that.

Get your facts right, parra said that to papz.

We wanted him (and identified) but he choose Melbourne.

Well he was identified WT probably paid for for schooling, and brought up in the balmain juniors from parra who said he was too small.
We signed Dylan Smith.

Remember him?

Sharks Aus Schoolboy player...FB superstar of the future. Never played a game.

Currently with Blacktown Workers, I think.

These types of 'decisions' have been happening for a while.

When Wests Tigers players met for an induction day last fortnight, Dylan Smith — a development player for 2018 — was a notable exception.

To be fair, Smith had a pre-existing commitment: his HSC.

Young even for development players’ standards, Smith was signed to the 2018 squad despite not playing a single Holden Cup game and not long after his 18th birthday — such was the talent and potential that a number of clubs saw in the Sharks junior.
