Good to see a few of them are playing alongside each other at City Kangaroos and must have been a good win in the weekend with a very young team.

Riley Oitmann played his first game at fullback in Macarthur A grade yesterday in Camden Rams 42-34 win over South West Goanna who had Cohen Benson as their fullback.

We are stacked for 19-21yo fullbacks atm (Tavana, Kanaan, Brookes & Oitmann) but hope the WT can give Oitmann a guernsey in Flegg sometime this season.

Whilst Brookes is a great talent, I believe Oitmann is as good if not currently better as a fullback and has just as high a ceiling.

Hoping he is more in the Ryan Papenhauzen mould than Logen Dillon.

Wests Tigers had its Junior Reps presentations yesterday. I'm sure the club will post the winners on the website sometime today. If not, I'll post later when I get a chance as the WT Pathways insta account did regular posts of the winners yesterday.

Today Riley Oitmann scored 4 tries at fullback for Camden Rams A grade againt Thirlmere Roosters (breeding ground of one Heath Mason) in Macarthur comp. Curtis Scott playing for Thirlmere.

Riley must be pushing strongly for a Jersey Flegg debut soon.

FYI @jrtiger @poopy_diaper

Nice! Definitely knocking down the door for a flegg debut!

Have you heard anything about when Tavana is due back? Interested to see if he goes up to Cup or Flegg on his return.

I’d say it will shortly become a case of use him or lose him.
Yeah I don’t know what the kid’s character is like but from watching him in junior reps the past 3 seasons, he’s a pure footballer with electric speed, effort & skill. He’d be up there as one of our fastest in the club & I doubt any faster over 20m. I know the club has invested a bit in Logan Brookes but Riley is a local junior with just as high a ceiling (unless he has a character like Galvin).

Wonder if we would try put him at centre in a Tolu Koula type move (small body with plenty of speed and skill). Depends how he goes defensively I guess...but then that comes down to his coaching/development from here on too.

Some of these guys...Brookes, Tavana, Oitmann, Kanaan (Already seems to be moving to wing) will need to be flexible on their positions if they all want to keep moving forward at Tigers. Up to us to convince, develop and show them a path up the grades in whatever position we need them in.

Here are some of the Wests Tigers pathways players selected for the U18s ASSRL National Championships in July. Not many this year.

NSWCCC: Christian Taupau-Moorsa
NSWCHS: Ali Karnib, Pheonix Godinet
NSWCIS: Heamasi Makasini

Alex Johnson was a star fullback throughout his junior career and didn’t complain when he couldn’t get a start in that position just happy to be playing NRL where ever.
Let’s hope this next generation can follow that lead.

Ray is a footy head, very level headed, good kid.
