We're all frustrated about the Larges however they have major SBW/Sualli vibes. Onitoni is 17 and has already gone:

Wests
Easts
Wests
Manly

All whilst also playing rugby union. If he turns out as good as he thinks he will flip flop between clubs and codes his whole career. Let Manly waste the next 2 years on him

As for Ashton well the guy is 15, Im not going to start worrying about losing guys that are 3-4 years off playing NRL

With the size of our junior catchment now there will be a lot of talented youngsters coming through will be impossible to keep them all, another group of good ones will surface to get over the disappointment of losing some.

agree - and we have Westfields in our catchment.

I didn’t realise Ashton was 15… his parents or manager must have some pull on manly considering he is already training with the first grade team lol

You can't keep them all, and not all of them make it. So many of these kids are talented enough to make it, but that's not all it takes - it takes good decisions, good work ethic, luck with injuries and more.

This is why it's so important to have a good developmental environment - if you have a strong first grade side, you're likely to have youngsters want to leave to play first grade elsewhere. Having a good environment with good structures takes the luck out of it.

2024 Wests Tigers Club Day at Lidcombe Oval

On Saturday, February 1 at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, watch four junior representative Wests Tigers Pathways matches, headlined by Wests Magpies taking on Balmain Tigers in SG Ball Cup (U/19’s boys) and Harold Matthews Cup (U/17’s boys).

Wests Tigers Club Day will support the Empower the Pathways initiative, a community program aimed at increasing resources and opportunities for Wests Tigers Pathways teams and players.

The program intends to raise $150,000 in 2025, with the money being allocated toward tours, camps, equipment, technology and advanced sports science resources, providing our Pathways players with an elite program.

Purchase an ‘Empower the Pathways Heart’ or make a donation directly to the Empower the Pathways initiative at the ground to help fuel the growth of Wests Tigers Pathways and future stars of our game.

Wests Tigers’ Tarsha Gale Cup (U/19’s girls) and Lisa Fiaola Cup (U/17’s girls) sides will kick off the day’s action, taking on the Sydney Roosters and Central Coast Roosters respectively.

The NRL squad will also be on hand for a signing session at Wests Leagues Club, Campbelltown, next door to the stadium. The players will then form a guard of honour for the Harold Matthews teams as they make their way onto the field prior to their match.

Be sure to check out the on-site Merchandise van to stock up on Wests Tigers apparel, as well as the Membership tent if you haven’t already joined Our Jungle in 2025.

Ensure the entire family is there on the day, with jumping castles, clinics, raffles, competitions, and much more in store at Campbelltown.

All gold coin donations and fundraising activities at Wests Tigers Club Day will support the Wests Tigers Empower the Pathways initiative.

Balmain SG Ball centre been training with Flegg this pre-season.
A bit disappointed by this really. I can't see him making it any higher than flegg, why re-sign him for so long? He's tiny and his limited size still Aussies make it difficult to move up the grades. He's not fast enough to make up for his lack of size. We have too many tiny backs in our pathways already

We seem to like our centres short....apart from Naden

I watched him play a couple of times and he looked to have good explosive speed off the mark which is generally a trait in all good outside backs.

For $20 per month, we have access to watch all junior reps, Jersey Flegg & NSW Cup now via Bar TV. Just announced by NSWRL. Great news!!!

Amazing! Not able to get out to heaps of games, but was able to keep in touch with KOE Cup reasonably well last year.

Just broke this news to the Mrs and she isn't too pleased to have more pathways footy on haha
