Anyway I would be interested to hear if anyone has opposing views to the above.

I couldn't even read it all. We look a lot better with Robbie in the team. The service has been considerably better.

I read it all, and I see the logic. We will find out soon enough if JT is right.

I attend all of the games in the Metro area ..watching a game live is very different to watching on the Tele, I do not know if you go to games but what I have seen is that Farah's service is very ordinary in direction and speed . This is not putting the boot in this is what I see and to be frank the short kicking game has also gone by the way side you can not have 90% kicking on the line being ineffective . This is my observation's sitting and watching the game live only my opinion.

You make me laugh Steve, remind me just of a mate of mine named Steve. Are you telling me you struggled to read what I wrote? I thought I spelled it out pretty clearly.
And yes Snake I attended both those games at Leichhardt.

Interesting. I don't think Robbie is a great player now but I think it's pretty clear he is the best hooker at the club. Halatau is okay. ET was ordinary. Robbie is better than both of them.

It was too freaken long and I don't think that anyone who watches the games regularly can believe what Taylor has stated. I just see this as more JT spin.

I just read on another thread that Cherrington may be in the team. I think that makes the decision from a team performance more palatable.

I still think it's a dud decision but Cherrington is a good dummy half.

So now we have 3 defensive targets in the team.
I thought that that was the reason that he'd disappeared off the horizon was that Taylor finally realised that he couldn't tackle.
Oh well just put him in the right side defence, he'l fit right in

ET is a really good player but he is not a polished DH. I think anyone who watched his last effort should be able to see how much better an option Robbie is.

Hahahaha i read what i wanted to know he is is scrubbing himself from any of this to keep all blame off

These lines are Proof for me, and it clearly says oK Jason Taylor, we will let you have it your way for this one game

As with all clubs in all sports _**it’s never the role of the Board or the CEO to choose the starting line up**_ each week and it never will be. This decision is a decision that is based on what the coaching staff believe is best for the team for an 80 minute period **against this week’s opponent**

Either they were hoping Robbie will have a dummy spit and walk out or they want to give JT all he has demanded before the board sacks him.

At least this way Taylor cant say "He didnt get the say in team selection"

Hard to take someone seriously when they can't read a post because it's "too long", but they can still reply to say that it's wrong.

I dont think anyone takes steve seriously, he clearly has very little idea on anything re: WTs or RL in general

I read the start of it and I've read the general gist of it multiple times.

I don't think anyone takes you seriously in relation to anything. You are one funny dude.

Seriously,
If you think this is just JT spin and he has made the wrong call with this, why don't you do some homework and find out for yourself.
As I previously mentioned, watch some replays of when the team has Farah and doesn't have Farah in the side.
I did it myself last night just to be sure.
Watched the first 20mins of the Melbourne game at Leichhardt and then the first 20mins of the Manly game at Leichhardt. (both full games are available on youtube.)
The proof is in the pudding.
Obvious points I noticed.
- Farah miss times passes to the halves. (this puts brooks and moses under pressure, extremely important when trying to kick for field position.)
- Dene has the forwards rolling up field quicker and more effectievly (the forwards were getting the ball at the advantage line as soon as the ball leaves the ruck, by farah running and engaging the markers this has the reverse effect on our go forward.
- Farah goes against the set play. (Although this sometimes leads to a good play it is counter productive to what Taylor is trying to achieve with getting the halves the confidence to run the team or so kind of a slap in the face to the coach.)
- Defence between Dene and Farah. If you take the time to watch the latest episode of the breakdown by Matt Elliott it features locks and how important they are to the team:
You will notice when he talks about defence he mentions how important it is to meet the player square; by wrapping the player up square accross the chest / shoulders it keeps the ball in check but also allows for a more dominant tackle in the ruck (winning the ruck). He basically explained why pricks like Gallen and Corey Parker get away with lying on players in tackles and players like Kyle Lovett get pinged nearly every time.
Also features ET and how he has contributed to our team in defence and attack.
In regards to defence of our 2 starting hookers, Dene is alot more effective in this, Farah tends to make up alot of his defencive numbers in coming in late to the tackle and tackling over the players infront. Rarely dominates a one on one tackle.

Anyway I would be interested to hear if anyone has opposing views to the above.

A long post, yes, but a very good one!! Thank you.

Our problem is not attack its defence.

Robbie might not be the best one on one defender, but at least he sticks. His involvement in tackles and clean up after breaks is outstanding. Game day he's top of tackle count most times and barely misses.

Hence the tern used "cohesion of the team" is double talk. It can have multiple implications and may refer to who runs plays at training, off-field issues and the like.

Both Taylor and Pascoe are using political spin and not telling it straight.

A disgrace to all members and fans.

A long letter that skipped over the real issue and has left more questions than answers.

…by the way, Halatau and ET have each made 370 tackles and missed 20 and 27 respectively.

Farah has made 307 tackles and missed 9.
