He's not getting enough game time there. But if Napa goes it could help him get the mins he wants.
If he were to come who drops out of our rotation? Grant? Our most experienced prop? Sue? Ava? We have a LOT of young props at the club. In fact our oldest props outside of Grant are only 25 years old. We have a lot of props Evans' age but hey if Evans is better than our boys you don't complain about improving the quality of your team at the expense of juniors.
However if a younger player can perform better, then sure age shouldn't be a deciding factor.

Not Sure… I like what he is doing at the Roosters, but we need to remember that is under instructions from Robinson.
Jason Taylor is more about percentages [hence why Lovett gets selected] and he could look to rain in Kane's aggression. If this happened, then we already have a couple of him on our books.

Kane Evans is fantastic. Unbelievable upside potential.
Roosters have enough quality in Waerea-Hargreaves, Napa, Cordner, Liu, Taukeiaho, Moa, Guerra.
Look at how we took Taupau from a clogged Dogs pack and turned him into a wrecking ball. Let's do the same with Evans!
We should DEFINITELY make a play.

I think Evans has lots of upside but he's got a long way to go, has fallen away quite a lot since his much-trumpeted debut. It does appear that Roosters are not getting the best out of him.
He killed it in the World Club Challenge last year and I thought he was going to have a whale of a season on the back of that. I even bought him as a smokey in Supercoach Draft. He then went on to be extremely disappointing in the early rounds of the NRL season (in both actual NRL and Supercoach) and didn't hit any great heights all season.
He's big and athletic and when he's on (like in the World Club Challenge) he looks a world beater, but he's just not consistent and doesn't have a great work rate. We've got big minute props in Woods and Ava (and probably Felise and Grant if needs be), if we were going to go to market for a prop I'd only be doing it for a high impact option like a Boyd, Paulo or Vave. There aren't many of those around at the moment though, and none who are cheap or available.
We have obvious gaps in our lineup and prop is not one of them.

I'm higher on Evans than some on here, though I absolutely concur with the concerns re: game instructions etc.
I'd love to have him on board, but we really need to be looking at edge forwards rather than middle forwards, as we're shockingly low on both quality and depth.
