If we sign Evans let's all agree to play him in position as a prop

As this back row talk is garbage

He isn't a back rower , he is a prop

If we want to buy a back rower , we go out and buy a back rower OK ??

Have u seen him play in the backrow?

Not at NRL level KS

At any level mate?

Just asking to find out if its your opinion going off what you see him do in the middle and his body shape or if you have seen him on an edge and struggle.

To put on size he seems to have lost some mobility when he moved from NYC to NRL

Just basing it off that , as I said the speed merchants kill blokes that lack speed off the mark

Tedesco on Cartwright was the perfect example last year , the minute you get on someone's outside it is as simple as straighten , draw ,pass and catch

Its important for us to be seen as looking to recruit regardless.

Its a back up should contract talks fall over with existing players, its also a bargaining tool for us - we are after this guy so if you dont take the money we will go after him or evan a simple message to the 4 to say hey we are building and looking at creating a team around you boys?

Cartwright was playing 5/8 something Evans definitely wont be doing.

Bulk him if need be to play prop or tone him up if you want him on the edges with more speed. With his size id take him in any forward position.

Doesn't matter where they are defending , if a player can get outside his man it automatically creates an overlap if the attacking player straightens and draws the outside man

If the outside man doesn't come in you have a player in the back field

Of course it matters where your defending. If your a 5/8 or centre your most likely going to be one on one which is exactly why tedesco did what he did to cartwright. If cartwright was playing his real position of second row then it wouldn't have happened as tedesco will always be running 2 or 3 passes wide. The middle is much more condensed with less room to be able to get outside of anyone for pace.

You do understand that in the modern game that where both the back rower and 5/8 defend is one position

Secondly , are you trying to say that you can't create an overlap around the middle of the ruck ??

Many raids start from the centre of the ruck due to laziness , poor maker defence or catching /isolating slow defenders with your quicker players and quick hands

No i dont understand, because you make no sense. Ask our mate Lovett if it makes a difference where you defend on the field. Ask him if defending in the middle of the park is the same as defending in the backs. Or even better ask Cartwright if defending at 5/8 is the same as the backrow. Te marie martin will be their 5/8 this year and there is no way tedesco runs circles around him like he did to a forward defending out of position.

Your completely missing my point it doesn't matter where you are defending because you can get isolated anywhere on a football field

Why do you think close to the line many halves like to take the line on back to back tackles , because they can isolate someone

The minute isolate a defender for whatever reason , whether it be size ,speed ,tired ,lazy or poor defender most attacking sides take advantage

Evans would be a great edition to the squad, we need another book end the size of Paseka, both close to 2 meters tall. Imagine the pack then, Woodsy, Paseka, Evans, Ava, Sue, Aloiai, Taylor, Marsters and Tatola. Buy him now .. !!

Looks like the 'big 4' may be asking if the Tigers are going to strengthen their pack before they put pen to paper.

Sign him up Big and Fast and a Tigers junior. Make it happen.

Also would have been good to have got Nathan Brown back. Think he's gone to Parra this year.
We haven't had any trouble breeding forwards of late.
There's about four young ones in ISC this year that many will be keeping a close eye on.
