Keebra Park set for National Schoolboys Final

I think it's great that we have a hand on these players but how many of these players have actually come through and have had an NRL Career apart from Benji Marshall?

I think we have to evaluate just how much time we are putting into these kids and how much it's costing the Club on these resources.
I would much rather purchase established 1st Graders
that are 23-25 years of age.
I mean the players that are doing well at our Club are Wests or Balmain juniors.

Wests juniors: Tedesco, Nofoaluma, Jesse Sue, Lawrence.
Balmain juniors: Simona, Brooks, Moses, Woods, Lovett, Sironen.

You miss the point, we put money into junior programs in different places. I don't see why we should limit ourselves to just Wests and Balmain historical catchments if we have an enduring arrangement with a top-flight rugby league school.

I don't know the costs, but I can't imagine it's that different giving Keebra a helping hand compared with running and financing our own Balmain and Wests junior ranks.

I do realise that we do invest money into junior programs.

Don't you think the Club pays other expenses like flying the players Family to Sydney from time to time to help with the home sickness?

The reality is so far we haven't had a player that has been a successful story from Keebra Park at Wests Tigers apart from Benji not saying it won't or can't happen.

Obviously the Club want to continue this path but they need to weigh up the time and money there putting into these kids.
I personally believe if we didn't have such a problem with our Salary Cap that maybe our energies would be on players that have been tried in 1st Grade already.

At the moment I do agree we haven't got much to loose as our Cap is limited.

Yes certainly they do. How many young QLDers or Kiwis running around for teams like Melbourne and Canberra? There are only 3 QLD clubs, so they produce plenty of talent that is procured elsewhere.

Andrew Voss said that Keebra park has a half back that looks as good as Cooper Cronk, his name is Tanah Boyd.
If he as good as Vossy says he could be a replacement for Brooks, unless his form vastly improves next year.
Keep Moses Teddy Woods and sign this guy.

Was very lucky to be named in the QLD U16 side this year. Plenty of time to grow, but kicking game will need to improve.
