Keep Ellis on the left!

I thought ellis playing left edge worked a lot better than fulton playing on the left. Our attack seemed to flow a lot more and ellis running angles off lui passes is great to see and a handful for the opposition.

The guy has been wasted on the right. Having Benji and Lui able to line him up on their favoured passing side is going to buy us 12 points a game!

Why has he been on the right for so long? Fulton is just as defensively sound as Gareth so that reason would be moot.

yeah he moved there in our late season charge last year, He needs to stay there. Works out well as fulton is betetr hitting the gaps off benjis hip on the right. Leave Heighno to rove and play whatever side he has too or do the hard hit ups in the guts.

Ellis always plays left. Fulton plays right, against the better players, like today, of course Ellis will look better . Imagine Jennings & Pritchard Compared to Purtell & Waterhouse

Good call. Ellis has played plenty of games on the right hand side this season, but he appears to run much better angles from the left, Fulton runs good angles either side of the field so it doesn`t matter to him.

Ellis has paired up with Lui now, to help him defensively and Lui prefers to play left edge in attack, so it will also hopefully help Ellis attacking game close to the line as yesterday showed.

Ellis was originally right side and then Sheens changed it without a heap of success and went back to Ellis on the right. Yesterday he was back to the left which shows his versatility… probably because Fulton is doing well on the right and you can't have them all out there. I'll leave it to Sheens to work it out but a great game by both Ellis and Fultz yesterday. I think Gareth is probably more natural on the right though.

The Lui to Ellis combo has developed incredibly this year and finally provides an attacking option that doesn't involve Marshall or Farah.

Lui plays right side predominantly and Benji left. Benji also put Gareth through for his second try and was hitting him quite a bit all day…

Gareth has played the vast majority of his career on the left and plays on the left for England(and Great Britain) and for Leeds before that. Sheens moved him (to the right) when he came to the Tigers and although he has been great for us on the right, it has hampered his attack from what he was able to offer on the left in Superleague. Fulton prefers Right and Heigno switches left and right when playing at 13.

Ellis on the left with Lawrence and Lote should and will be a handfull!

Fulton doesnt prefer right side because he is right handed, its just that he is adaptable & the only side remaining. Heigny plays loose & roams all over the middle.
I believe the players refer to the left side as "the rich side" & the right side as the "poor side".This is evident in most teams.

Dumb question, but is that because right handed people find it easier to pass from right to left?

Fulton works well on the right too … See his try against the Cowboys at Leichhardt.

Both players have scored awesome tries on their respective sides, Ellis on the left, Fulton on the right.

I prefer him on the right as that means he can shield Ayshford from Tahu. That match-up worries me.

Tahu is prone to bad defensive reads, I'm not too worried about Ayshford up against him.
