Keiran Foran

The whole situation could be staged, secret handshake between Parra/Roosters.

Roosters drop the chase for Hayne & instead sign Foran when he feels better next year (as they are happy with Latrell Mitchell)

Parra club & fans are happy to get Hayne back, without looking like tosses allowing a marquee player to openly walk out of the club.

In the mean time, Foran has more money to gamble with during his time off & Hayne mysteriously finds 200k at his front door step.

I'm with you on this one…100% staged.

Foran is out for the year with his shoulder injury...why can't he focus on getting his shoulder right(which he will be doing regardless) and get his life in order (which he will be doing regardless) so he can come back good as gold in 2017....why couldn't he do that whilst still being contracted to Parramatta??...Roosters or Dogs for sure next year for Foran....he will announce in February his life is good as gold and he is ready to rip again...and the NRL is the best place for him to be in to keep his head and life on the straight and narrow....watch.. this is so staged!....

Agree. It definitely has a stench about it.
It would be great for the Roosters to pick up another Test player under dubious circumstances….hell they haven't been able to do that for at least 4 or so years with Sonny Boll. It is long overdue. C'mon Uncle Nick, dig up another buried coffee jar in your back garden!

Why wouldn't parra just release him? What would be the point of all this 'staging'?

I think you're reading too much into it.

The staging is for the purpose of 'damage control' by the club, they are already busy sweeping all the other dirt under the rug.

How do you think Wests Tigers fans would react if Teddy was re-signed for 4 years on a lucrative contract, and then was allowed to openly walk out during the first year to a rival club?
Jac is a 'nobody' compared to Tedesco at the club, and many including myself were upset with the club not signing him, can you imagine the backlash if the club was to allow a marquee player under contract to walk out during his first year.

Hayne's return to Parra will be used as the reason why Foran can't re-sign when he gets his head right. It also indicates that Hayne may be signed by the end of the year, after his Olympics 'dream' is behind him. You need to clear the cap space to put in the offer, it won't sit well releasing players while chasing Hayne.

This situation would also allow both players to have a full off season / pre-season with their clubs.

There is no logical reason why Foran would quit the NRL mid season while he is getting paid ridiculous money to watch from the sidelines.

Just my .2 cents on the situation.

The problem with this little theory is that the Roosters just signed Luke Keary, so I really can't see why they would want Pearce, Foran, Keary, Hastings and Matterson all on their books for 2017.

He'll go back somewhere he feels less pressure and feels comfortable - Manly or the Dogs with Des.

His mental isssues may have led him down this path.

You might be right tho.

Parra didn't start handing out fines to Foran for missing sessions for the sake of it

They have decided they want that money to go towards Hayne and think that Foran is now damaged goods

I think it could be that simple , but could be wrong

You can bet the NRL will be investigating if he ends up at another club.
I can just see them getting further into cap troubles with getting Hayne back.
