Keith Galloway Re-signing???

I just hope they don't pay "overs" to retain him. I like Galloway and would like him to stay on board for next season and beyond, but not if he's asking for $400k per year.

If the SMH is to be believed, Joel Thompson from the Raiders has just agreed to Dragons terms at $433K per year.

I think we are going to find we are reassessing our opinion of player salaries with the upcoming increases in salary cap.

If that's true about Thompson the Dragons are paying huge overs. I'd take the figures thrown around by the papers with a grain of salt.

Has to be moved on the reason ..injury prone that and that alone is the reason ..this is the harsh reality of the modern game .These players are on huge money and must be able to play on a regular basis not every other month for a few games. If he has knocked back the offer presented to him of to the Mountains young man!

I hope he is re-signed by Wests Tigers. Penrith might be interested considering the way Gus talks the sauce up??

Can't believe people take Gus seriously. If he wasn't a giant ranga Gus probably wouldn't give a crap. He carries on about him for attention, nothing more

No no no no no! you are possibly right given the props Penrith already have and Gus' showmanship when he commentates, but maybe and only maybe he thinks Keith is a half decent prop.

Maybe if sheens never built such a small pack around him then he wouldnt have all these injuries… only experienced prop in the club and people want to get rid of him and hope some 20 yr olds will do the job up front...

The young fellas will need a calm old nut beside them when things get hectic

With you there Ink. Like it or not, we're still going to have problems up front when the inevitability of injury hits the likes of Woods and Buchanan. We've been ridiculously fortunate in the last two years to have unearthed gems like them who can withstand the weekly rigours of FG football. A fella who is talented and still in his prime is a must in our front row ranks and Keithy fits the bill.

He rejected our first offer… So what, he's testing the market, I'm sure we'll offer what's right. If he wants to chase overs at another club, that's his prerogative. I am certain Potter will not let him go without throwing copious amounts of a cash at him.

I'm not saying Gus doesn't like him as a player, i have no doubt he does, however the way he goes over the top is for affect cos of his unique look. People read too much into it imo

Yeah I judged him without the facts , he hasn't got a bad record in terms of the amount of games played for us, those stats won't look to good after this year. I suppose he's trying to get the best deal for himself but I wouldn't fight tooth and nail for him though, let's lock up the young stars

Woods is off contract the following year , he will attract far more money than Keefy will and he is far more important as well

If we get Keefy for the right price ,go for it , but I wouldn't be paying more than 400 k for him , but lets not lose Woods to keep Keefy

Where's the source saying he turned the offer down? Not attacking anyone but its kinda useless to speculate without one.
They might have offered him less than his current contract and it will probs be his last one anyway so he's entitled to a bit more or at least the same considering the salary cap has increased.

It was mentioned on the Game Plan last week.
