Kelma Tuilagi Signs With Manly

On that note - I'd take Sam McIntyre back in a heart-beat!

Great hands - the cardio fitness to keep pushing up in the ruck & staying on the ball (as the best contemporary 13s do) - and he has the consistently best mid-riff tackling technique of any forward we have had since Ben Galea!!

He not only hits & sticks - but he knows how to use his shoulder and really stings his opponents!

A concept that is very foreign to Luke Garner for instance - or even Twal who is extremely effective but never hurts his opponent.

He may not be as dynamic as Radley or Murray - but he is a bigger body and has all their other attributes.

The fact that he had a negotiated contract extension printed but that was never executed while our hopeless CEO went on holidays - leaving the Titans to gazump us is yet another black eye and major embarrassment for our dysfunctional and incompetent senior management team!

He is also a great kid who loved the club and playing under Madge - & he was very happy living in the Ryde area.
He looked good for us. Unfortunately I think that speaks to the quality of the rest of the forwards we have. Gets minimal playing time with the Titans and looks very average when he does get a game

I agree that he is better than what we kept - so why didn't we keep him instead of some of these other bums?

He is a genuine footballer who would have been a weekly starter here!

Agreed he played with passion for us,i would take him back quite happily as he would show a few of the faint hearted what is required

Mikaele has no brains. Good runner of the ball, but that's about where it finishes. Poor hands, no awareness and lazy in defence.

Dolphins 2023.
Hes got impact, but has handling issues and very one dimensional.Hands and defenve are holding him back
Have no doubt he\ll be with Dolphins next year as Bennet needs to reduce the average age of his pack to below 40!!

Doesn't make sense can you explain exactly what you mean?
To me, it didn’t make sense. I would have thought a more like for like replacement would be on the cards. Tuilagi and Tapine aren’t like for like, ability wise or money wise. Maybe you can though. I’m no expert on the cap, so who knows.

See in the trial, when he had the arm out and the offload was 100% on, Player ready for the ball - and he pulled it back in...

I almost vomited in my mouth.....
You could nearly call it a cultural thing Bat, the way we play is ingrained into our very existence.
For years we've been playing stereo football, cart it it for 4 tackles the kick down the fullbacks throat.
In my opinion a good set starts by one or two barnstorming runs, runs that bend the line. [ For those who don't know the analogy - imagine you had a straight piece of string on the ground and you move the centre backwards, you will notice both the outside of the string come closer together, if you keep pushing the centre further and further the outside ends will eventually touch, thats called bending the line.]
In order to bend the line,, those two initial hitups have to be fierce, get deep and run hard and throw yourself at the defense, if you dont you wont attract defenders - won't bend the line.
You also attack the vunerable defender so he gets help.
Speed of the play the ball is paramount in those initial hit ups so the line doesn't reset properly. The way good teams do this is they go to their knees and avoid being rolled onto their back.
Usyally on the third they hit the vunerable edges. A good 'heads up' playmaker will see this. If that fails on the fourth you'll see out plays then on the last a bomb or grubber for repeat set.
Of course there are plenty of variations but it all starts with good hit ups, off loads will come when we realise we can do it, practice it, be confident.

Tapine ticks all the boxes for me, at least I now know what you were trying to say.

Doesn't hate the club, I should have used a better verb.. He fell out with a couple of guys on the team months ago
