Once he gets into training with the guys he will fell welcome and apart of the team.

Talau has the frame but he needs to muscle up

He’s gotta grow into his body and overcome the hammy injuries he had for most of last year. Still young, I think we will see him shine in the next 12-18months

He's played all of his juniors as a centre or fullback. Only played a handful of games on the wing in his life before he joined us...

That's why people call him a centre. We had opening on the wing, that's why he played there.

Yep at this point I’ve had half a dozen people explain to me in this thread that he’s a centre not a winger. I didn’t realise, as he was listed as a winger in the player profiles I could find, played wing for the Junior kiwis, and had the no.2 on his back for most of his 2019 highlights video (though he did appear to be playing at fullback for a lot of it).
Regardless of all this, I’ll take y’alls’ word for it that he is a centre. My original point still stands - the signing of Maumalo bumps Kepaoa down the outside backs depth chart for 2022:
