Kevie at 1 next year?

He is just hopeless.
Does not attack the ball.
Flyers like a ballerina to catch the ball with his hands by his sides.
And his positional play in defence … as a fullback ... just no idea.
And to think someone suggested we resign him and play him as fb next year ...??L

He did attack the ball. He also dropped it when he attacked the ball. He has had plenty of good moments for us but the poor moments are unacceptable.

No to fullback, wing, centre, five-eighth, half, loose forward, tight forward, hooker, bench, ISP, 20's, coach, trainer, ball boy…....

He is safe under a ball.

Yeah it's just the one's that bounce with no one within 20m he has trouble with..

Take the cash on offer in ESL if it's still there Kev…

OK after watching tonight's game I think it's only fair that I apologise for this thread.
Kevie tricked me into thinking that he was a first grader and could possibly be our no1 but I've come to my senses. Enjoy the UK Kev.

Haha Tiger that's putting your hand up mate! And good call too, unfortunately Kevvie showed his flipside last night. He has shown that sort of inconsistency throughout his time with us and it is just not acceptable.

I spend half my time loving him and the other half cursing him. So in some ways I'll miss him but mostly I'm glad he's going.

I think he had to book his ticket to the UK immediately after last night's match. No way 1 -21 in any WT match next year.

I don't think we should resign him other then to play NSW cup as depth and don't think he is a NRL fullback but one thing I did really notice last night compared to Tedesco is that because he straightened up with the ball instead of running towards the corner like Teddy does is that our centres and wingers were given much more room in the 1st 2 tries and also in a few later movemenets where silly errors (2 by Kev) meant play broke down but if teddy had it he would have run as virtually into touch

Kev needs to go to a team like the storm who can carry him as a value for money attacking winger protected by solid (and expensive) centres and back rowers. Josh Addo Carr has more errors in his game than Kev, but kills it in a strong side where he just needs to do one thing well.

Or he needs to make a lot of money carving up reserve graders in Northern England.

When I read this post title I was sure it was a gee-up. Then I read the posts on the first few pages and started thinking - SH*T these guys are for real! Thank god TIGER that you came to your senses and now everything is right with the world again.

Was the OP considering this move for us or for our nsw cup side? Or an ESL side?

Naiqama is a very average player. He'll likely never play first grade again after this season. He's kept his spot in the side purely due to a complete lack of options.

He may well be a nice guy or someone who works hard but i don't care, to put it bluntly - he's crap. Next guy gets a chance. To be fair a number of his weaknesses are lessened at fullback but don't expect him to make a tackle or take a contested bomb anytime soon.

Agree with this. But I'm still a fan anyway. At least he has heart. Something that half the rest of the current team lacks.

Credit where is due

Another good game from Kevvy

That one horrible pass to Nofo probably his worst error

He seems to be enjoying the added responsibility being the FB

Played well but I don't think he is good enough to be a first choice fullback. Gets the dropsies, takes poor options at times too and I can't see him making too many one on one trysavers.

Wouldn't be saying no to Kevy if he was keen to stay at the Tigers on a modest salary being available for any position in the backline if required. He would be an invaluable depth player but it's all relative, depends on cash and depends on his expectations but I wouldn't be leave him out of my 30 man first grade squad add TG to that list.
Why bother you say? Look at the players the sharks have in their squad as depth players.
Bukua
Tagatesse
Latimore
Beale
E.Lee
If we can keep them we should.

Not next year no.
But quite happy for him to stay at 1 for the rest of this year with toerag tedesco going to state cup whenever his poor little body is fit enough to bother playing for us again.

Agree, he is best suited to a grade between ISP as NRL, and I think worth keeping as depth. But that entails depth player money, which he might not want.

At least he has a dig and gives the ball out to the backs, Something Teddy has forgotten to do.
