Kicking game, best ever?

One aspect of our game which has been poor for a very long time is our kicking.

Today IMO it was the best it has ever been, and probably the best I ever remember it. I don't recall a single poor kick, and in particular our long kicking game was outstanding (mainly from Lui). We kept turning the Raiders around, finding grass and forcing them to work it off their own line.

If Farah, Marshall and Lui can kick like that every week we will win alot more games. If our forwards go forward and give these guys a bit of time and space they should be able to kick like this every week. I noticed Lui stood alot deeper than usual when kicking today - not sure if this was deliberate, but if it was I'd like to see more of it.

Yep agree fully. Lui hit them sweetly, the set-ups for the kicks were good, and the short kicking worked a treat. Can't remember too many being caught on the full plus the options were right almost all the time.

Agreed the kicking game today was good and needed to be in what would have been part of our game plan against the big raiders pack. Lui's first attempt at 40/20 almost got there only just put his foot on the 20m line. Benji's goal kicking very good as well.

Best for the season so far actually next best was the other time we played Raiders . Aren't the raiders atrocious this year

Your kicking games is only as good as your go forward and we had very good go forward partly due to the Raiders and partly due to a much improved forward pack

I was very impressed by the vision farah showed with his chip & chase to setup marshall.
He is stepping up at the right time for SOO selection.

I cant remember a better kicking performance, it was very good, all 3 of our main kickers got it spot on.

As for the kicking game being determined by the go forward, this is somewhat true, but i think it works in reverse far more evidently, the forwards job is infinitely easier if we kick well.

The first 20 minutes particuarly, Robert Lui kicked the best ive seen in a long time

while true,when you are kicking inside your 40 you are hardly on top.
our kicks inside our 40 were not off the back of a good surge or quick play the ball.
the same with our kicks inside the 20.

benji,farah and lui deserve the praise on this one.

The first 6 kicks of the game meant the back 3 of the Raiders were flummoxed for the remainder of the game.

He tried that exact play last week and it failed miserably. This week it works perfectly. I was very impressed by the three kickers yesterday.

We have never kicked better than that game. I can't remember one poor kick. All were close to perfect and got great if not good results.
