We've moved across to qld recently. Young bloke is playing under 16s. There's some massive kids. Had two trials and looking forward to the season ahead. Go you shearers!
This year my youngest is also starting. Under 9s for him. He's fired up. But let's see how he goes.
Have your guys actually had a competition game yet this year, my g/son is at Helensvale and so far wehavent had a single game,
I know that we’ve had a lot of rain this season, but our esteemed Council have had plenty of times when the fields have been fine to play on, they’ve closed the grounds again yesterday for this weekend.
I went past Helensvale and Coomera,s fields today and there pretty good. It’s crazy.
I was speaking to a mate in the council admin. A few days ago and he reckons that the Council is more worried that the grounds are looking perfect for our o/seas visitors than they are about kids
sport.
So a second rate ( in most sports anyway) Overblown sports carnival takes precedence over young kids sport, just so a bunch of paid amateurs , quite a few of which are souped up on whatever the newest drug is around there days, have nice green fields to park their cars on,
That’s the irony of it all, most of the sports fields are going to be parking lots. Three guesses what damage will be caused by being churned over by a few thousand carsweve been told that the kids will be back on them about 2 weeks after the games . Yeah right
We’ve had two trials to select our divisions in the 12’s.
And the schools have barely been able to trial kids for thr South Coast carnival which is nearly here.
