Kidwell To Be Coach Effective Immediately

What i want to know is if we win tomorrow and are back in the 8, 6 weeks out from the finals in a season id say 90% of supporters thought we'd struggle big time, and all the injuries, what justifiable reason do they have to punt him. A lot of times i think supporters over step the bounds in regards to what they think they are entitled to, but in this situation i'd demand answers from this spineless board. The inmates run the asylum if this happens. Absolutely disgusting.

If it is true and we miss the 8 we should embarrass the board with the lack of memberships for 2015

I'm filthy as well. Was looking forward to a few beers at the game tomorrow. Won't be going now. We sure know how to shoot ourselves in the foot.

I would love to see televised live on TV a gang of inside out jerseys at tomorrows game as was mentioned in another thread as a protest.

Ferkin disgraceful. I'm absolutely filthy!! Time to hit the club with emails, tweets and calls.

Screw that, i'd encourage people to turn Concord Oval into a tip by turning it into a Black, White and Orange compost heap. Emails and tweets won't have any impact, redecorating Concord Oval would.

What has Mick done to deserve this? I am seeing us play footy that we never did under Sheens. We are actually playing properly, and just scoring points with no defence.

The people who should be sacked are the morons on the board. Lets not forget they are the people that gave Sheens a generous contract extention only to sack him 12 months later. This really f@*ked up the clubs finances.
At the start of this year we were favourites for the Wooden Spoon… and we are far from it, even though we have been missing one of our first choice halves (Moltzen) for the entire year.
All this speculation and talk can only distabilize the club leading into what should be our charge to the finals. I'm all for holding reviews, but you could at least hold off until the season is done and dusted.
If Potter lacks communication skills, great. The problem has been noted and it now can be addressed with some training not an axe. It's a bit like cutting your finger and deciding that the best course of action is to amputate.
I'm getting back off my soapbox now and back to the rum...

I don't understand how and why we are so poorly run. It's the same rubbish year after year. Just so much incompetence its ridiculous. And coaching is not one of those things, Potter has earned an extension, it's a results driven gig and he's done well.
Mayer should be ousted before Potter.

If this is true boy Mayer ( who engaged Smith for this review ) is going to cop it big time… Assuming the article is right ( and it probs is otherwise the DT would be culpable for defamation) if we don't make top 4 in 2015 Mayer and anyone from the 2014 board must resign...

Feel sorry for Potter it's clear he was not wanted half way through last year... But the gutless club strung him along... I hope those involved are happy.. From the outside looking in Potter has been shafted big time...

The review was conducted solely as an excuse to change the head coach.. I'm sure the terms agreed to by Mayer and Smith were clearly defined before Smith spoke to anyone…. Get what I mean... It's the oldest trick in the corporate world

Grant Mayer has never impressed me as much as he has some others. Seems like a big "look at me" man. Probably wants his own coach.

We as a family have made the decision not attend tomorrow's game ,will will not support a club that is run by backstabbers and a GUTTLESS board that is influenced by over the hill senior players . Good luck with memberships next season !

It doesn't make sense. Doesn't Potter get an automatic extension if we make the 8?

Whether they sack him effective immediately, or tell him he won't be required next year, what happens then if we do make the 8 this year?

Do we then have to pay out the final year of his contract? Surely not…

Yep, no question this was the agenda if allegations are all true.
Especially using a recently punted coach, probably still on the hunt for a gig.
Wonder what the report says about certain players' listening skills?
The office politics of corporate culture is getting more insidious every day. Mayer should have put an end to innuendo weeks ago.
Or does this club have such a failure schema it self sabotages at the first signs of actually consolidating success?

So this is apparently a Bulldog Richie exclusive!! Who leaked this to Bulldog?.. Mayer, Farah, Bailey?? There needs to be an investigation big time … This issue within the club is much much bigger than Potters perceived poor communication skills... But of course nothing will be done about this mole within the club!!!

It's an article coming from the daily telegraph. How does anyone know this is fact. They have got it wrong so many times before. It needs to come from the club before anyone gets too upset.
