Brooks making a statement solves nothing IMO.

If he said (exactly as Hagipantelis said) " I have a contract here at the Wests Tigers until 2023 and I will honour that contract", and he then leaves tomorrow, his statement is still absolutely correct.

Any contract can be terminated at any time by mutual agreement. So his above statement isn't a lie and changes nothing. He could still leave tomorrow.

If you want him to come out today and say " I love the Wests Tigers, I will never play anywhere else." - Its just not going to happen and it would be stupid of him if he did. Not a single player, or employee for anywhere for that matter is likely to say that. It's employment suicide.

And even if Brooks did come out and say that, it wouldn't mean anything anyway.

Didn't Benji say exactly that, something like 'I won't ever play against the Wests Tigers'. And then he joined three other teams who were our direct competition, and he did play directly against us?

How about a picture..

Truly worth a thousand words.
I don't know what words exactly though, lol.

All jokes aside, it's good to the guys in our colours throwing the footy around, I miss the footy season already!

This picture should excite the forum . Looks fit FWIW

Sheens also reiterated that Brooks would remain at the Tigers and revealed that the time was fast approaching when the future of Canberra hooker Josh Hodgson would need to be resolved.

The Tigers want Hodgson but have failed to strike a deal with Canberra for his release.

**“I told you weeks ago it wasn’t going to happen,” Sheens said of Brooks.**

**“He trained yesterday and trained again today with a smile on his face. Let’s bury the speculation. At the end of the day I was comfortable we were keeping him.**

**“He looks in good spirits. He doesn’t need any more publicity or pressure from anyone.”**

As for Hodgson, Sheens said: “It is in Canberra’s court. They have to make a decision.”

It’s nice to have someone like Sheens who has the balls to make statements like that.

Anyone know Brooks heritage, family origins?

I like the photo of the young players listening to Kimmorley.

No one’s looking at what he’s trying to show them. Good to have new coaches around.

There’s no point working on attack until they sort the defence. If I was on the coaching staff I wouldn’t let them touch a ball in this period leading up to Christmas.

38 nil screening every week until 2022 ..... still having nightmares over our finish to 2021

Agree. Much clearer than going to the chairman every time for quotes.

I think Kimmorly will make things simple with our young players....... ok boys run that way

It's great our young players, especially the halves, hooker and fullback, have access to someone of Kimmorley's experience.

If you think any player manager and particularly this one has the sole interest of his client in mind then you are very sadly mistaken
. There are usually 4 or 5 pieces of player negotiation going on with different players at different clubs, all designed to do one single thing. Make the player manager extra coin. On some occasions, player x has no knowledge of anything going on, but when the chess pieces fall into place for the manager.... he then presents player x with contract worth a little more and the belief the club is is contracted to wants him out. So of course he leaves.

In actual fact there is no such desire by the club to see them go, it's just player x is part of a big picture with player q, y, z and j.

When this stuff is stopped by the NRL, this carry on will disappear overnight. Like it or not, the draft would stop this instantaneously...

So who do you think is against the draft? Surprise surprise.

Is @cochise a player manager

I must be!

Should be ashamed of yourself.
