Hopefully those who hadn't seen Joseph Taipari were impressed.

Saw the kid at the Camden trial and he for sure and certain had an nrl mentality.

He is a real prospect. We need to monitor him and lock him up long term.

Cheers to those who said he wasn't any good.

Reminds me of brooks before certain first grade coaches got to him.

Ben Gardner= supercoach

Promote him to NRL coach

They said at the end that he came from coaching at north’s - so makes me think Hartigan brought him over.

Who dovpeople think has more power Madge or hartigan?

NSW cup players are able to play first grade from next week without having to be promoted to Top 30. Interestingly, both Fitzgibbon and Kiah Cooper were held out of this match even though they’re not Top 30. This could suggest Madge is thinking of promoting them.

Supposedly it was because they were worried about NSW being stage 3 when the cross back over the border and possibly needing to isolate .....

Had to work and missed the game. Great to hear the boys had some effort and sting about them.

We remain second in Knock-On Cup and Flegg, with only the panthers in both beating us. Impressive from the younger boys. If we can hold most the good talent coming through we should be in good stead, beats paying overs for old stars. Essentially, follow the panthers style, create the talent ourselves for the most part and fill holes with others if necessary

Just rewinded it to the begining, no first grade players included such as Cini, simpkin etc.

Reece hoffman, nice play

Purely from my pov and i am sure many will disagree but this shows why Madge is on the right track. The performances from this and also our Flegg team show the work that is starting to bear fruit at the base of our pyramid, certainly Madge deserves some credit but without knowing his involvement it is difficult to say how much. Our future players looked good again tonight even if only a few make fg,it gives the club options.
I hope we stay the course for the next 2 years to see the rebuild take place. The right people seem to be in the right places to get us there.I honestly dont know if Madge is the right coach after 2023 but we need to keep him no matter how much it hurts in the interim.

Madge brought him over as he was an assistant to Madge in the NZ Test team.

I really like a few things about this team: They give a crap and they're not afraid of running hard. It's a special team, even if it's our reserves.

The backs always take dirty runs. Ogden, Dillon and Pauga did it today. Cini and Fitz have done it in the past. Dias, Rogers-Smith, Fairbairn, Tuki, Tuilagi not afraid of contact.

And some of the young fellas. Ogden looks great. Mavoni OMG what a beast. Dillon a live wire. Taipari could be anything, he certainly has the game smarts and attitude to go somewhere.

Big Call - But this is Madge's team for next year along with some current players. The Reggies/Flegg success is not by accident. This is the planned recruitment approach. Shades of Penrith. The COE is the start of the build. This year is our biggest Pre Season Trial ever. We are going to be the best club ever! Gardiner will be the next boss and Madge will become the "Gould Guru" type Old Wise Man in an advisory role.

Really enjoyed watching these guys. Really solid efforts from most of this group- forwards ran and tackled with enthusiasm and aggression all game. Backs also played strongly.
Stand outs were Tuilagi and ZDC. Ogden looks good, as did Diaz, also the redhead Regan H(?) is a goer.
Coach Gardiner seems to have a great relationship with his players and they are keen to reciprocate with heart and energy in their game. Quality group - lets hope we can hang onto most of them for the next few years.
Attitude and effort puts our NRL squad to shame!
Note: the centre for Bears (Satini?) looked sharp and had something going for him.

Big win great odds on the magpies won a stack.
Our future is very bright some great young players in that team even with the players pulled out due to this nonsense Covid bubble.

Sione Hopoate is an absolute gun. Sign him as soon as possible. Weapon.
