Freebairn ices the cake..FT Wests 42-18..

Good win ..4 in a row !
Dropped off a bit in the 2nd half

Does McGuire watch these games ?

Of course

People bagged Liddle last week in FG but this week he has been the best in reggies imo. That shows the difference in standard between the grades.

Cini MOTM for me. It's a tough one, he's playing very well at fullback but not sure if he would be good enough to play wing for first grade, he's not especially fast. Not against giving him a run though he's earned it

Madge will just need to face facts that his two favourites are certainly under pressure from Cini.. he certainly is a competitive type big and strong.

IWhilst the bench went well I think they missed Seyfarth workrate. He has improved from Plodder to Prodder!

Yep. A lot more time. Speed of games are very different.

Mind you Liddle probably needs a run of games in reggies for him to get confidence in his game. It was great to see him kick today

Yeah he seems to be real strong despite being a skinnier guy. Shrugs off defenders every time he runs the ball

I think the other real difference is that in nsw cup he is playing behind a dominant forward pack

I think that Roberts is under very strong pressure to hold his place in firsts. He has been looking very listless and uninspiring right through the season so far. Like many he is in first grade purely on earlier reputation.

Madden's goal kicking is a worry though. Not going to help him nail a first grade spot if he keeps missing practically anything not close to the posts.

Cini continues his good form. Can't be far off a call up to NRL squad. Not like he'll do any worse than those already there.

He could easily slot onto the wing

Reggies is the slowest of the 3 grades don’t get me wrong the defence in reggies is a lot harder then flegg but the speed of the play slowest of the 3 grades

That was a nice try with some good work on Chee Kam.

Was the commentator even watching the game she just kept talking as the play was unfolding.

She just sounds like she's reading off of a piece of paper......probably sitting in her backyard chatting down the phone line. Her delivery is as wooden as a table leg.

Doueihi kicks.

The real story is our junior recruitment is outstanding. We can't attract the big names so we produce our own. Our lower grade coaches and staff appear to be creating a good framework from which we can promote our future NRL players.

I know a lot of supporters are down on Seyfarth but he is going to be good. He needs to grow into his body. When I wrote that Flegg report a few years ago Seyfarth played a quarter of the game on the wing and scored a great try using his pace.

We just have to make sure we hang onto those juniors, and not become a feeder club for Manly, Roosters and the Storm.

Big time impressed. Cini should be in first grade right now at centre especially given how bad our current centres are. Fitzgibbon is improving a lot. Kiah Cooper has been very surprising. Ogden looks special. Young EJ Lui will play 200 first grade games. Jock Madden was really good and he has a knack for scoring tries, really good backing up and controls a game nicely which is really good for his age. Seyfarth is a fierce worker but he gets manhandled a bit too much. Tom Amone should supplant Mikaele in first grade probably at least for now. Rogers-Smith loves to score a try especially for a prop! Very fun to watch and promising stuff.
