KOE NSW Cup Team List Round 9 V Sea Eagles

Caught up on the game last night (replay is available on Kayo/Fox). You can certainly see why both teams are at the bottom of the ladder, a very poor quality game. SO many poor mistakes and both teams pretty poor discipline.

Pauga and Perry were both absolutely awful. Pauga must get cut immediately. The only thing higher than his handling errors is his missed tackle count. He and Perry both made 3 appalling errors, and the mistakes in defence just isn't good enough at this level. Perry to RMC, send Pauga back to QLD.

You could certainly see the difference with this side with a proper halfback in Madden and Stefanovic/Taipari. Madden was our best player and led the team around the field well. Good passing and kicking, goal kicking was excellent too. Unlucky to miss the 40/20 by an inch.

Liddle was disappointing, made some good darts but still his delivery isn't good enough and he made too many errors.

Was interesting to see Pole play 70 mins straight. This may have been due to necessity with injury but you could see he was holding back on some of his runs to ensure he could go the distance. Very impressive from a young prop to know his role in the team and to keep working hard across all aspects of his game and pace himself rather than burn himself out. Was strong in attack and defence without being too barnstorming like he can be. Compares to the Manly prop who Spud kept raving about who was good, but only last 15 mins at a time.

Ogden looked dangerous when he could hold onto the ball.

It was very disappointing to have our back row scratched an hour before kickoff. I think we would have won easily if O'Kane and Kautoga were starting.

Saukuru is a nugget. Remains to be seen if he can play like Talakai or will be more Fonua.

Rua Ngatikaura Injury

Young hooker Rua Ngatikaura scored a double on weekend for Western Suburbs Magpies in NSW Cup before unfortunately leaving the field with an ankle injury.

Scans on Monday confirmed it to be a fractured ankle, meaning he will miss the rest of the season.

Pole will make it. Has a good motor and strong AF.
