I'm intrigued how many people are saying that possession and use of cocaine is 'just a little mistake by a young bloke'. He is nearly 24 by the way. Most people have real jobs, vote, are married, might have kids etc. He is no longer a 'young bloke'. That finishes at under 20.
I'm no prude by any means, and I've seen first hand what this stuff does to people. Is it the worst drug in the world? Of course not, but it is a stupid drug and an illicit drug which in many ways wrecks peoples lives. I'm not preaching an anti-drug theme, because you are all old enough to work out right from wrong.
Back to Lovett. If guilty, he should be sacked. Is this the sort of ding bat who we want in the club? Yhis is a professional sport and business. All registered players, as well as the rest of us in society know its illegal and stupid to be involved in this drug world. If he is using, and possessing, against his training, against his employers rules, against society, against common sense, and then doesn't tell anyone hoping it might disappear. Are you serious. Who the hell is he hanging around to be getting this s*** from? What else do they expect of him and does this compromise his own integrity?
This guy has been much maligned on this forum and I actually have supported him because whilst he lacks talent and has been played out of position many times, has a red hot go. He has now completely lost me and he can bugger off. And Last bit of rant - I'd be saying the same thing 100% if this was Tedesco, Moses, or anyone else. Probably more so because they have more to lose.
