Galvin is new and shiny in a game where robotic football once ruled. I credit his play not only to Galvin but also to Marshall, his coaching team and our junior development staff. You know there are entitled clubs who believe he should be with them now and something went wrong with the system that he did not end up with one of them. What went wrong is the good work of WTs' staff which I don't believe is recognised in the NRL.

We've got latu and large on the rise, so a very strong plan B

But that kind of phrasing just shows how much the manager is in his ear. It's disgraceful.

“We want him here as long as I’m here” is a rediculous thing to say. I’m sorry, he’s a talent but he’s used to winning and throws his toys out of the cot at the first sign of adversity. Its unlikely that he’ll play in a team that wins consecutive grand finals in the NRL like he did in his youth. You have ups and downs and he needs to deal with it and get stronger.

Not sure he realises how if sounds when he says things like that. Like Sam walker, he could have a form slump and be dropped for Latu or Douehi - what will he do then? Expect the club to back him regardless? He has a lot to learn about professional sport.

A wise man once said to me “the highs are never as good as you think, and the lows are never as bad as you think.” I.e it’s best to stay level-headed. His emotions are throwing him around - he needs some good, experienced, level-headed people in his ear. Get away from that shocker of an agent.

To me he plays with instinct. I don’t think it’s coaching that gives him that, it’s years of playing in the backyard, playing with his mates in juniors, making lots of decisions. Perhaps the coaching frees him up to back his decisions.

He is a kid and when infront of the camera looks like a deer in headlights. Add to it all the talk has been about his contract term he is going to respond about his contract the same way.
He has had more spotlight on him the last month than most nrl players get in their career.

The club need to get him into media training asap.

I'd say he's been doing what he does for a long time probably since primary school and his coaches have been smart enough to let him run with that... As you say it's instinct, it's natural for him
 
Was an interesting comment from Benji on the Coaching insider. "We always put him first and he likes that". Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but seems like lachie needs a bit more maturing yet. Will hopefully come with time - he's a very young lad and has had a lot of hype in his short career already.

Was very impressed with Kit and TDS on the podcast and their maturity. They'll be good to keep the younger group on the straight and narrow.

Definitely needs to mature - this is why you don't let teenagers make life decisions without older, wiser heads around. If the Tigers were still a complete basket case and showed no signs of getting any better, I l might think it would be better for him to go, but that's definitely not the case at the moment.

What the Fck is that "real clubs" thing supposed to mean?

Is that a typo and poor editing or intended as some sort of an insult, thought he was supposed to be mates with Richo.
