OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

So back to his football for a second. One concern for me is that we moved him to the right on the weekend in prep for next year and yet he seemed to drift back to left but more then that his outside men in Faatape and Staines didn't get any ball - so my question is can he adapt to that side and can he pass to his right
I’d bet he’ll adapt.
I also noticed that he went himself in stead of onto seyfarth on his outside when it looked to be the better option
But even your top line players don’t always choose the right option

well then you don’t match the other offer and the other club ends up the one paying massive overs..they will soon learn to stop doing that
Something needs to change, but clubs will flaunt that too. The NRL need to be stronger in this area, I believe full transparency could help.

Yeh right, that’s my biggest fear..getting brainwashed by the media mastheads 😂
To be perfectly honest Buttsy, why should I take any notice of their shit when I can with minimal effort make up my own shit?
Wasn’t directed at you at all 2040, but I think you got that. There’s plenty of sheep out there that will, even the player and their entourage and then whisper sweet somethings, and all of a sudden speculation becomes true. As I said before it should be easier to keep juniors than to poach them.
Also there should be penalties for mastheads (I love that term) who just make shite up.

Absolutely!!!
That doesn’t just happen as a matter of course though. The club needs to be united in its efforts and be prepared to invest in developing a structured environment which encourages commitment to a singular trustworthy entity, where players play for the jersey.

If after more than 20 rounds it's still a suprise to the outside backs that Galvin is going to take the line on and create space, then they aren't using their brains or they aren't at NRL standard.

The job of outside backs is to be there when the halves create space and overlaps.

Could you imagine blaming the likes of Cleary, Johns and Langer for creating space for the outside backs? Time to swallow your Galvin pill mate and start seeing him for the talent he is.
If his runners are not going with him, then the problem is coming from his playmaking ability. The outside backs either don’t trust or understand what he is going to do. He needs better communication.

Your logic is flawed; either that or you're trolling me.

What happens when someone makes a break and there is no support players? Do you blame the person that made the break for not communicating enough? No, players should always be ready and alert.

The more I get you to unpack your logic, the more I realise you have NFI, no offence.

He wasn’t making a break

It's more a case that Lachlan is streets ahead of the rest of our duds just like Benji was back in the day

And whether he was making a break or not you would expect your teammates to be supporting you

It's really that basic isn't it?

Tucker has an issue with Galvin being thrown into first grade as an 18 year old and is holding him to standards as if he were an immortal with 10+ years experience in the NRL.... while those outside him all year with the experience probably haven't played with a pivot of Galvin's calibre.. it was refreshing see Luke on the weekend in the right position and scoring a cracker of a try.

Galvin is better than Benji is as a player and he will become one of the greats.

Benji wasn’t consistent his whole career

One great pass - two terrible passes

One great kick - one run on 5th play in our half

Galvin is already showing more maturity than Benji was

Benji as a kid was good bc he had Scott prince and was dynamite that first year

But galvin will out play him over a whole career - just my thoughts
