Didn't the Tigers play Parramatta a transfer fee to get young Lachie out of his deal because he wasn't progressing at the Eels. Apparently, no-one can progress Lachie's career as he or his family sees fit? Talk about bite the hand that feeds you!

On 300k he can’t be swapped for equal value. Eels don’t have a single player outside of lomax you would trade. Eels would then have to pay salary difference.

Yeah looking back on that he was a bit of a scaredy pants… if he wants to lead so bad why didn’t he take control in that camp?

I actually am very confident we have much more cohesion without him in the team. We’ve all noticed for weeks how much he stunts our attack

Also does anyone else find it odd that DCE randomly asked for a release last off season the same time as Galvin? Sounds like a coincidence until you remember this manager is also looking after the coach at manly & would have inside info about what was happening… Just speculation obviously but the NRL has to take some of the power away from agents IMO

While neither asked for a release, they have both just 'notified that they will quit'..

Yes the timing is, interesting.

I suspect though it's just Galvin making himself available now, before clubs lock up DCE...
