OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Am I missing something here?

Don’t managers get paid as a percentage of their players contract?

If so, Moses (who if you believe most on this forum) has instigated this whole sorry saga, so he himself, could get less money 🤔

Doesn’t the way it’s played out, now suggest that the manager was just doing what the player requested him to do?

As I said at the start - Am I missing something here? 🤷‍♂️
Seems that it is true that it was the beauty pageant Dad and his little princess. Moving to the winning club again, just like they did in the juniors.

James Graham's bias has come to the forefront in clash with rothfield on triple M.

He is justifying Goulds decision to lie by putting the club first to prevent the media pile on and disruption..

But he regularly digs into Richo about taking control of the situation (which was best for the tigers as a club and it's fans)
It’s been nice having braith and buzzy on our side lately. If you follow buzz on twitter he regularly puts crap on Isaac Moses.

Every way you cut it, this looks bad for Wests Tigers. We have a player on a long term contract, in a key spine role, on a cheap contract, who wants out and has at least two other clubs who want to sign him. And despite all of this, the best we can do is get a $165k transfer fee! No player swap! We got nothing. So Gus secures a player he has been desperate to sign, and in effect pays for wests tigers end of season trip in return. Ironically, we will probably be taking that end of season trip the Doggies are paying for at about the same time they and Galvin are playing finals footy. The fact he’s going there for about $300k per season less than we offered just makes it worse. Richo has done a commendable job as GM, but on this one, at least from a fan’s perspective, he has had his a$s handed to him by I Moses.
I think it looks worse for the NRL. If they're obviously happy to let this bastardry transpire, what else are they willfully neglecting to administrate? Salary cap breaches? Scandalous bunker decisions? Refereeing bias? Match fixing?

I don't blame Gould for taking advantage of the situation despite his dishonesty,i can only blame Moses Galvin and his family and most importantly the NRL for allowing this sort of thing to be entreched in the way they do business. It started when Murdoch/Gallop got their hands on the game and honesty and integrity has been on a downward spiral ever since.
Fix the heirarchy and add transparency and honesty and much of the problems in the sport will disappear (Rant over)

Its a terrible look for the game the way this has played out with Gould courting him publicly for the last 12 months. Gus claimed it only changed last Tuesday, which we all know is bullshit simply by the fact Gus opened his mouth. That is my only gripe in this hole thing, that it has been orchestrated for so long. If I'm being honest though, it has kind of been offset by two things.
1) Galvin never wanted to be here, so he was always going somewhere else
2) Its hilarious to me that he chose the Dogs over the Eels. Parra players, admin and fans seemed to think it was set in stone he was going to them, some were even quite cocky about it. To see him take a big dump in their mouths gives me great joy.

Straw clutching. What happened to Topine had zero affect on Galvin.
Nah just after clairty.

Accuse them of being what you're accused of.

Setup from the start.

Parra the logical distraction.

My stand point now is what's in it for us. Just loose change and nothing else.

Thinking Sexton to Raiders, Mahoney to NQ.

Wonder what Gus is alluding to saying there's things to work out at the Tigers.

Player swap talks have gone cold.
Gus might be referring to the dropping of the legal action re bullying. If it’s true Richo made this a condition of release I’m sure he would want a formal statement from LG that gives WT some form of protection against ongoing litigation. Would take a day or two to sort that out.

Yes Merv, Richo needed to table the offer not just threaten to do it.
Then again, if he had, doesn’t that trigger an investigation by the NRL chasing an answer to the question “why does a player accept close to $2m less to break an existing contract?”

Happy that it looks like he's gone before June 30, sad we couldn't keep him. I think he's too slow to be a great 5/8, but that doesn't mean he won't be a good player. Anyway onward and upwards.
Now let's move on to one of the next problems on hand that is just about to cause much turmoil and gnashing of teeth on this forum over the next 4 or 5 weeks.

Who are Wests Tigers signing to fill the 2 or 3 position that we will now have vacant and need to fill to be cap compliant by the 30th June? 🤔

Richo please tell me that it is 2 or 3 quality signings from outside of our current system.🙏

More than likely it will be 2 or 3 young players with potential from our current system that see very little or any NRL time in the near future and if they do it will be a case of being thrown in the deep end much too soon, not like that has ever happened before. 🤡

Okay, I can live with it if we are signing some current players just for the rest of this season only, in a similar sort of scenario as Solomona Faataape being elevated which I think was done to free up his Development spot for someone else.

I'll live with that if it is just for the remainder of this season and we announce 2 or 3 good players from outside our system that cannot be accommodated prior to June 30 but will be with us from November 1, mind you it will have to be much more than 2 or 3 players after November 1 to fill the positions of some of the dead wood that is coming off contract.

I just have a very bad feeling about how all this is going to play out and I just hope that I am proved to be completely wrong.

Which means Haywood is demoted. And as a Bulldogs junior, that would be a slap in the face for the kid.

I reckon WT should make a play for him. Can fill halves, and play the ball-playing lock position too. Signed until 2026, but see if they're open to him moving.

If they're shopping around Mahoney though, then forget it. They'll likely turn Haywood into a #9.
Ciraldo usually plays a couple of utilities.
