OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Latu is flying under the radar?
Yep - and missing the first trial due to suspension from the England Test will keep it that way for at least another fortnight.

He is the 5/8th that kept Galvin on the edge when playing age level together & has somehow fallen off the radar for many because he was playing several grades above - while Galvin dominated at schoolboys level...

On a development curve he is way ahead of Galvin and is an exceptional talent in his own right!

If he has his head right - he could be one of the best halves in the NRL within a couple of years!

Well when Galvin makes 50 tackles in a game in NRL I'll agree with you as well, but for now lets see if he can make one tackle in jersey flegg.
Please learn to read....

I specifically made the point that Liam was a great defensive player and that the kid would need to prove he had the same attributes!!

He runs lines on the edge like Liam is all I said!

I am a huge Liam Fulton fan - and they are very different players - but Liam was NOT a great physical specimen by any standard football measure!

HE would agree!!

Anyone that has made 50 tackles in a game in NRL has proven their physical prowess. Its an incredible difficult thing to physically achieve with very few first graders capable of it. Fulton did that and proved his physical prowess. Lachlan Galvin is a skinny kid who hasnt made a single tackle in Flegg yet and is definitely not up to making 50 tackles in NRL and to suggest he can is ridiculous.

Fulton has proven his physical prowess in NRL, Galvin, a skinny kid, hasnt even proven it in Flegg. its literally the whole point.
HE would agree!!
Seems to me you mean Galvin is a better looking physical specimen? Weird point but....ok?

I've previously referred to the tall skinny kid with the shit Roman hairdo

Check my posts!

I am not an advocate of him as a future star- but am prepared to give the kid a fair go!

Weight for age - Galvin is a superior prospect to Fulton - which is a fact!

Liam was a great footballer with a great motor - I am not indulging further in a circular argument with a halfwit!

Latu is flying under the radar?
Are Latu and Galvin meant to be a halves pairing team?
That's what I was reading in the media and all over the place...

Have we snookered ourselves with Luai? Probably not, but man we are going to have interesting halves questions... It means Galvin or Fainu need to be willing to take:
Center
Hooker
14th/bench.

I can't see Luai moving, I can't see us offloading him...I can't see him taking Center or any other position. We need to plan this.

It's a good thing. I am tired of the "great big hope" of some reserve grader who wow'd Tim Sheens or whatever recruiter... Yet a really tough choice and one we can easily botch.

A few posts about top four Locks and posts suggesting Galvin to Lock have convinced me. I get some say his asset is on the edge, but it seems he has more assets than that. The link to the halves and impact both sides.

He is 85kg and lanky as.
Sure, if we are dominant he could play lock. Were not dominant and it would gas our forwards covering for him. Galvin has to BEEF up to meet 5/8 standards.

Latu Fainu looks more solid. 90 kg's and looks like he would be tough to tackle. Lock would be a stretch for him though.

For both, not seeing lock as the option. Maybe Fainu to hooker.

This is quite insane really the mapping out of LGs career position wise... I understand. The enthusiasm, the raps I've read about the young bloke is second to none and I know nothing I say won't stop others from talking him up increasing the pressure on him... Which is what all this is doing by the time he makes his debut the expectations on him will far outweigh any other roomie debutent

It’s how Lachlan will quickly turn into Luke.

Id say Galvin is use to the talk. They are targeted from a young age these days and he would be well use to the interest in him. He will either have the mental capacity to transition to FG or he won't. - it rarely comes easily .He has been identified, he has a massive opportunity to have a lucrative career he will have to get use to it if he is going to make it.
