OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

If he plays the same the next two weeks and Latu kills it I hope he is dropped. Needs to develop his game in cup.

But can you imagine the noise when this happens. He'll be asking for a release straight away, but if that's his attitude he can stay in Cup.

Hopefully big turnaround next week.

If they make noise, him, his manager, and family well then get rid of them. Richo knows what time it is, we hold all the cards & leverage with a ready made 6 in Latu & Bud coming back. This isn't schoolboy footy. He's still finding his wheels 🤞

He’s a 5/8 but will take time to develop. Problem is Tigers get no time have to pay big money to keep players with potential. Had a mixed game some brilliance but in attacking positions was poor. Defence is also suspect. Stick with this kid he will be good.

Too big, too lanky, too slow.

His future isn't at five eight.
Let other teams Pay 4 that...

Having said that, we can juice
another 2 years of him as Richo mentioned he's under contract...& see how he goes.

Fainu/Luai combo is the real future in my opinion. Galvin hasn't learnt where he fits on the chess board just yet but it's okay, he's still young

Can we all get over the medias swollen lips and stop pretending this guy has the goods for the halves, backrow is his future and hopefully sooner rather than later. Latu and Jerry combo would have gotten the team home tonight.
How can you confidently say that?
Remind me again how many minutes Latu has played in first grade in actual NRL games (and not trials).

I think he leaves due to Moses. He will wear 6 for NSW eventually. The kid has class as a ball player which is rare at his age. He’s just better than Fainu.

The Galvin/Luai thing was messy...as was(unrelated) the 50 missed tackles. Some of our guys are serial repeat offenders, and we keep choosing them whilst keeping a fit forward out of the game
From Benjis press conference where he refused to answer the question as to why we lost....Im underwhelmed in that he was unwilling or unable to provide a constructive response .Just confirmed my worst fears tbh.
Shld have blamed the refs in that we only got 90% of the 50/50 calls!
.Now John Morris, the defensive coach who presided over leaking more points than any other team last year AND ,is still there...hey presto..50 missed tackles
.A complete surprise of course...jeez
And the rest of the coaching staff are buddies and ex team mates of .Benji ,who in this regard is his own worst enemy
I thought we mite be mid table pre season...early days.but think Im gonna have a spoon setting for four!!!
Only game one I know,but..
No Api and Bula were big outs. I think we showed enough to suggest we ain't getting a fourth spoon. But we can't keep on missing 50 tackles a game.

Not worried yet, we did okay

Api and Bula will be massive next week

Bula safe under the high ball and better in support than Mason. Think he would have supported a few extra plays yesterday which may have been game changing
I know we were pretty horrible in defense in the 2nd half but , if Api and Bula are in that game , we do win it. Thats more telling on Newcastle probably.

Wouldn't have mattered too much who else was in the WT team if Best didn't have what will almost certainly be his worst performance of the year.

Personally would prefer Galvin's energy was utilised backing up every single play through the middle and only involved in the last two tackles otherwise.

I genuinely think he did it on purpose.

To show him he's not 'the man', I discussed this with Dempsey earlier on - luai gave him the option & Lachlan took the wrong ones, especially in red zone. Everyone is in his head. Keen to see how Latu goes this afternoon but give it a few weeks for them to build.

I don't think Galvin has the guile & speed & aggressiveness that Latu possesses. His attitude sucks too, came through a schoolboy & state systems winning everything & hearing how he's the best. His future is at lock & Latu 6.

I'm happy to give him a few more weeks though, Benji won't hesitate to drop him like other coaches feared to do with Brooks.
Not so sure about that
Benji loves him

The main thing he needs to learn is when to time himself into a game,he does not need to be the "go to man" every set we have or make the "hero play" when he get's the ball.He just needs to blend into the position and let others do their work as well,at the moment he is jarring the attack by trying to do too much.
100%, still very inexperienced and played with a new halves partner. I feel like there's a bit death riding going on towards him.

Yeah bro...I might be jumping the gun a bit after a disappointing loss. He is Benji's pet project. I was equally upset with Heath Mason out the back though, built like a scaffold but scared to take the ball when the opposition boots it & has chasers. We'll all get better for this run no doubt, easts got flogged by damn near 50 we lost by 2, I'm sure we'll get it right 👌🏼👌🏼

I know youve only just joined the forum, ive never seen your username before but after 3 wooden spoons and the over hype of the 2nd coming of Jesus playing like Muhammed's donkey, I dont think the fans are out of place saying he needs to put up or shut up. Patience is a virtue that no Tigers fan has left. Come back in a year or 2 after youve watched some more games.
The difference between Brooks and Lachie is the hype isn't just from the media it's from the fanbase. People carry on that he's worth a $1M a season, he ain't if he's not winning us games. He doesn't seem to have many weapons in his arsenal it's all too predictable. I think the mistake was not playing Luai in the trials. They need time to gel.

More than a decade of mediocracy sure can test supporters patience, but he did look like he was running around without a clue, feel the pain Winston.

He gets tackled too many times. His teammates know this and have stopped running gaps.
It’s time Benji allowed Luai to play his natural game.

It does seem so easy as a spectator but other teams are doing it.
We’re only asking for a fair shake of the sauce bottle.
That was a game to win.
We had the ref onside, and knights self destructively offering it on a silver platter.
We’ll never get a better chance than that to distance ourselves from another spoon.

Those bash and barge to get over the line are useless unless Api is running the plays how many of those wasted efforts did they throw up last night T, is that all Benji's got in his playbook this season, how disappointing.

Not sure why there is suddenly so much noise, it’s only the first game the new halves have played together.
I don’t think we will see the best out of Galvin if he keeps playing 2nd fiddle. He is the type that craves responsibility, one who genuinely believes they can change outcomes.
