I was thinking about this the other day . When we talk about building a club around someone , how often does that player insinuate they want to leave. .
Like Cleary, the only time it was even mentioned was when his dad was here , and his dad went back there to squash it.
Trobojevic brothers ? Has that ever even been mentioned .
Teddy since he went to the roosters ?
How often does a player who is all about the money ,and getting the best deal , actually be the best player in the best club .?
Is it really a good idea to give the money to Galvin , if we have to go to overs to get him to re-sign . And build the club around him . I dunno . Even Luai coming here , is also about affecting change in your childhood club . There’s an emotional investment .

The only player that has worked for with us was...

Gold Coast were looking to pinch him at a point in his career when he was at the top of his game.

You could say Benji too. Benji it's kinda funny because he was outstanding in attack, but a weakness in defense. While Farah it's a pick for most teams without too many strings.

Very fair point though:
Teddy wasn't a solo act, it was the big 4. I honestly wonder if they would have built the club if all 4 stayed or ruined us. (I guess we would be no worse).

Riccio tried to stir shit on 360 tonight , but I noticed when it’s not the Moses cabal of Read ,Caryannis or whatever , or the unprofessional muck rakers of Crawley and Ritchie , these nonsense time filler segments , are quickly squashed by the panel . Gordy over Kenty really changes the dynamic of that panel in such a good way . And I feel Braith has very little time for a lot of the middling reporter/ stooges.
It’s clear Moses wants to take his client to market re. He wants to take him to the eels or manly .
Imagine pushing the narrative that eels are a better club, which he was implying , after that last round .
Talk about read the room . Starts talking about the big clubs .

The fool tried to sensationalize the whole Galvan saga and in the end looked stupid, happens to one of them quite often.

When they pressed him on it he admitted it was all just his opinion, no doubt based on the release requests when we’d lost 8 games in a row.

Now that he’s a big part of a competitive roster, the Tigers have a much better hand.

How good was Gordy calling out riccio for trying to suggest Galvin would replace Munster lol

Look if Galvin was 500k he would be an utter bargain for any team.

At 1M, he must be your teams Gun player. Is he good and worth 800k, sure.

But is he THAT good?
Would he be as good for us as say Kalyn Ponga has been for the knights?
Or Turbo for Manly when he isn't injured?

For a Million, we could buy Ezra Mam or Kotoni Staggs or even make a punt for Mitchell Latrell?
Not suggesting we do, but I am not convinced that Galvin will go to that Mitchell or game winning Gun level.

Valid points mate. I agree with what's been said. But if you lock him in for 1 mil a year for the next 5-10 and Netflix with the NRL broadcasting rights, it'll look like a bargain.

Pretty sure it's a percentage of the contract value over the entire length of the contract, doesn't matter if he stays or goes, the manager negotiates the contract so is entitled to their percentage.

Look if Luai does what he needs to do in 2-4 years and Latu is ready, it could potentially be the best for everyone and Luai to make even bigger dollars. But he has said he would like to play in the UK before he retires so that will be the most likely move.

In saying that I am loving what Luai has brought to the club and I wouldn't be open to this unless it was 💯 best for all...

Really depends on Latus development and what Galvin does

Luai in super league would be unfair. Man of steel in his first year, maybe even more if he plays a few years there.

Sutton wasn't in the same stratosphere as Laurie Daley although he was a fine clubman and player for Souths.

Good points, but I don't think Sutton is anywhere near Galvin. Galvin is so much more involved than Sutton - one Sutton's weak points was that he would go missing in games, sometimes didn't look like he was up for it. Galvin is the complete opposite to that and already at 19 can run, kick, pass and organise. Obviously he's got a lot of improvement but it's crazy how good he is as a 19 year old. Galvin's engine is also miles ahead of Sutton.
