OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I would swap him back to the left with Sam F , move Luai to the other side , Galvin just tried to hard yesterday but as time goes he will settle down more , you can’t force him to do it as it would kill his game , he will adjust and get better as time goes on , he is a talent and has all the right help at the club , Benji and Luai for him should be enough to bring him up to next level

He’s going ok but yes he does need to improve in some areas. The key is for him to not lose confidence. He is gaining more trust in his teammates as I think seyfarth and toa have seen more ball the further the season gone
I think for now he will be like James Maloney rocks and diamonds games
Certainly needs to work on his passing . In particular his left to right passing is quite weak with a lack of length and ball stability.

I agree some of us are maybe a bit harsh. For his age and current salary he is killing it and we are about 300% up on that deal. I get frustrated watching him at times and very excited at others.

If he wants a mil a season from next year then it's a different story, and he is going to have to face what the dylan browns of the world face irrespective of age etc...

Some good and bad moments from his game yesterday. A couple of good try involvements interspersed with some errant passes and slightly over-baked kicks. Then again, every half gets a few kicks wrong. The only unforgiveable error for me was the attempted offload after the 6-again 10 metres out from their line.

As we all seem to agree on, he is just lacking a little speed and power to make him a really potent attacking threat. He's good at identifying weaknesses in the line to poke his nose through, but he's just not quite strong or fast enough to bust through.

Certainly not showing enough yet to warrant 1 million a season, and I would love to think he's aware of his weaknesses and needs to continue to improve to justify that sort of contract. Unfortunately, with his manager in his ear, that's highly unlikely.

As you say, if he wants $1m a year. I think that's what is riling people up when his execution is poor. He's not that yet. People are concerned with the number of release requests and his communication in the media - that he's expecting something exceptional when he hasn't earned it yet (and the club has given him everything).

I hope his parents and the club help guide him through this period and sign for something reasonable. He has both Luai and Benji around him now, with a world-class COE. Can't think of anything better for his development.

The $1m should be in his contract, just at the tail end if he reaches his potential.

In short, he has to want to be a WT.

Well said

Just on the SMH now that we tabled a lucrative offer last week that Galvin has knocked back as he wants to hit the open market at 1 November. I’d say he is as good as gone.
Was always going to be the case. Now we can plan for the future without Galvin. If he kicks stones it’s not as if he’s soaking up much our salary cap. It’s up to him if he puts in each week to be selected in first grade.

If that is the case then he can go imho,we need players that buy into what the club is doing as they are the one's that bring long term success.
