OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I don’t know, but there’s something isn’t there?.
He just turned down a $6million offer without even bothering to read it.
Be good to hear the other 5 points in his dossier whinge
I agree, but then part of me couldnt give a crap. The first 2 points if verbatim by media, are rubbish. Things that could have been sorted by a conversation. I'll give some leniency, because I have a 19 year old son, but I put it down to poor parenting, because instead of telling him he needs to talk to the coach and let him know, it sounds like it's just been tucked away for future reference. Don't for a minute think Im claiming high ground in parenting, but its a big bad mean world out there and you do nothing for your kids if you don't make them face things and have uncomfortable conversations. On those two things alone, Gals dad should have encouraged him to have a conversation. Maybe he did......but it feels and looked as though Benji was a bit blindsided by the claim he can't develop him.

As much as the idea sucks ....I reckon Galvin will be back by Magic Round
Well unlike others, he is to me a squad member. If the team can handle it and he is required, then so be it. Hopefully AD and Luai kill it on Monday and there is no need to look at it. Balls in the teams court, win and the pressure to put him back in is eased, lose and it doubles or triples.

He was embarrassing on MMM talking about Galvin and how the Wests are in the wrong.. Dead set cannot read the room
But like the whole nrl knows Moses is his manager …. Like every time anyone brings up a cautionary tale about bad managers in any capacity they talk about woods and the big 4 and Moses . Woods is always the first name they mention when telling the story .
Even the most part time footy supporter knows about woods and Moses and the tigers .
And then he gets in his show and just regurgitates shit … as if people arnt intelligent enough to see through it ..

Many pundits said there’s not much chance that the Tigers will have the success of the bulldogs last year and it will take time…well, it’s happening. We have a good administration. Benji took a huge risk (on his career) backing Galvin last year, and while he showed promise, he wasn’t winning us games. We also had a bunch of other young players in the team that were getting used to playing 80 mins against men, so lumping the lack of success on Marshall is ridiculous.

Comparing Benji to a Ciraldo - You can listen to Ciraldo and know he’s a good coach. But talk of systems, processes kpi’s - people assume they are a good coach due to use of this overly complex language, and when they don’t use it they’re not; what’s I’ve found is that people that use this language robotically often don’t know as much as the person that can communicate in simple terms. Fundamentally, coaching a team is about getting a bunch of players to believe and play together: that can be done in a number of different ways. In my opinion, Benji has been given a way worse situation than Ciraldo - the team was worse, the culture was worse and there’s no Gould to help build pathways. Galvin is too inexperienced to make a decision in Benjis ability to coach. If he thinks doing an extended wrestling session with a bunch of forwards with 15-20kg on him is best for his development at 19, then he really is immature and not looking at the bigger picture.

Everything is moving in the right direction at the Tigers, and while the Eels have had moderate success, they still haven’t won a comp in forever, regardless of how many players they’ve stolen. They have had a horrendous run of coaches, with the exception of Brad Arthur, who they sacked without a replacement. Keep in mind their catchment is almost as big as the Tigers and they haven’t developed any decent halves. If access starts in the boardroom, they are a ways off.

With all this in mind, there’s no guarantee that if he goes to the Eels it will go well. I won’t be rooting for his failure, but it will be a huge we told you so.

Back on the Tigers - we all know that these things take time, Galvin didn’t want to give it time but he’s willing to go to a club that’s further behind in its rebuild?

I think the murmurs that he didn’t really gel with Luai and team are true, and that would explain the backlash From the players who were accomodating to Galvin, only to have him say they weren’t good enough. He’s extremely fit and for that reason wants to play both sides, chime in where he wants etc, and while that may make a moderately successful team, I’m not convinced it will win comps, nor am I convinced Moses will be happy with that.

Anyways, we’re moving on but still baffled by this decision.

What I do know from yesterday’s presser is that Benji is the real deal and so is our CEO. Whether it’s via our pathways or a recruit, we will fill the hole and we will be successful. It’s just a matter of time.

Interesting Aaron Woods said on triple m that Galvin was upset about Matamua and Brandon Tumeth being moved to Ron Massey cup - you can really start to see how we was starting to feel out of the loop. All his mates are leaving, but he better get used to that, it’s gong to happen every year, regardless of what club he’s at.

Woodsy regurgitates through his managers ballbag , over Galvin …. Literally how he is on the radio is beyond me . He’s the dumbest human alive .. no joke . He is a literal moron…
Took disloyalty to a whole new level. Was club captain yet talked the leading players into leaving and then left himself. Don’t know why that’s not constantly thrown into his face. He destroyed what could have been a legendary career . Shortly after started reversing into defenses and took half an hour to play the ball. Total dud

Moses doesn’t play well with others, brooks and brown where down the pecking order. Mitch’s ego is way to big for another, good luck Galvin.

I wonder, if he does go....as looks most likely, if he will cop a good dose of buyer's remorse, like Ray Brown did in leaving Western Suburbs 46 years ago (God I feel old) Especially so if he decides to go to Parramatta.

I really hope our guys totally OWN the Eels for the next few years both on the scoreboard and on the table.
Ideally I'd like to see the WT knock Parra out of contention for the finals at least once or better still beat them in a GF especially if they have Moses & Galvin in their line up!

I still enjoy watching replays of WT's win over a virtually full strength Manly just to see the look on the face of DCE, Turbo & especially Brooksy. 😂

With woodsys little interview on his departure way back when, the bloke wouldn't know about the right side of history.

The best thing he's known for now is the nsw origin leap and the horrible way he left the Tigers. That's it. That's his legacy. No one should listen to his opinion.
He retired a loser, drifting from club to club, languishing in reserve grade. He regressed dramatically after he left us.
