OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Has to have evidence and - one tweet makes a mockery of people who are actually bullied - and up until last Thursday when the GM called his managers bluff there was no mention of bullying.
Mum and Dad Galvin what are you doing is this really the path you think is best for your son!!!
A few photos and an affidavit - it’s pretty easy to start a fight in this space.

People saying Galvin is soft etc are missing the point. This is a planned move, it's not about Galvin's feelings. Big money contract waiting at the club he wants, Moses creating a strategy to get him there.

why is another club condoning and even encouraging these actions ? They are partly to blame for this dabacle .., is it anything goes to get a rival player to break their existing deal and no one in the games admin seems to care ?

Lachlan Galvin’s stoush with the Wests Tigers has dramatically escalated after it emerged his management had sent the Wests Tigers a legal letter alleging their client has been bullied and not provided with a safe work environment.
Coach Benji Marshall addressed claims of bullying at a press conference last Thursday after teammates used social media to comment on Galvin’s decision not to re-sign with the club beyond 2026.

Marshall defended the players for having an emotional reaction to losing Galvin.

“I don’t think he’s been bullied by the other players,” he said.

“Emotional responses to things happening might seem like it, but there’s been no sense of bullying at our club, and we don’t stand for bullying.

“I talked about it with the team this morning, and that’s not us. We’re not bullies, our players are not bullies.

“They had an emotional reaction to one of their teammates, but it’s not bullying. I can guarantee that.”

More to come
If they had a genuine concern, they wouldn't play it out in the media as normally a person who felt such a grievance would have to approach their manager and seek a discussion and mediation with the person involved. Further, bullying is not usually considered a one-off situation - it's a sustained behaviour.
I know I'm stating the obvious in saying it's a letter just to provoke further reaction from the club.
I hope we offer to resolve any perceived issues and enter a mediation process. Straight bat approach.

That is laughable and incredibly poor from the Moses camp. No one will take that legitimately but what it does do is take away from any future real bullying claims. To be so self entitled that you’d use a serious issues in todays society as tactical move is disgraceful. I hope Richo puts a target on Moses back. This is far bigger than Galvin. Issac Moses and his puppets should be eliminated from the game.

Question is was it an isolated incident or has he been bullied for a long time?

Id say it's an isolated incident.

Therefore I don't think there is any legal way they can get him out of the contract as long as the tigers show a supportive culture to him
Bang on. Two instagram posts are not bullying. Particularly one that says "Team First" and has absolutely no reference to Galvin.

Turuva's post was silly, but it's a long bow to draw to consider that bullying.

According to safe work NSW;

Workplace bullying is repeated and unreasonable behaviour directed towards a worker or a group of workers that creates a risk to health and safety.

I don't think any rational or reasonable person would regard either of these one off instagram stories as bullying.

Legal letter means nothing. It will all die down soon enough. The young Bulldogs player has literally taken the Bulldogs to the Supreme Court for this exact thing and it's crickets from the media....

Galvin and co are doing immense damage to themselves. I am confident Richo knows what he is doing and will get an outcome favourable to the tigers on a time line that suits us.

I back Richo and Benji 100%

Difference is Topine is a fringey, Galvin was offered a million a year and of course it’s the Tigers, we always generate media interest for clicks haha

Sometimes in a situation like the club is in now, it easier to cave in and grant a release in order to stabilise joint and protect our brand name. Although this situation is different, they have to fight this one to the bitter end. Team Galvin can not get away with what they have done and as we all know this is straight out of Moses playbook. The NRL also have to show some integrity and have a word to team Galvin.

This lasted action by Moses is all about trying to make Galvin’s contract unworkable, Richo has to be 100% rock solid

Self entitled little prick, i hope we hold him to his contract for the remainder of this year. Put him on gardening leave, under no circumstance's should we buckle because Moses has initiated the mental health card we've seen this movie before.
Also he'd be 1000/1 to play in reggies tomorrow and im more than fine with that.

Theres something abnormal about this kid to endorse this behaviour
Understand the end game, but its just grubby
He knows opportunity in the nrl is short lived. This is his opportunity to get to Parra. If they can’t get him then the opportunity could close and that would make Galvin upset.

Any legal experts here does he have any ground to stand on
All I can say is that a bullying claim can override a contract’s terms, not all cases but this type of matter is often within the jurisdiction of Fair Work. The two posts on social media are not the issue, it’s what else has (if anything) occurred or not - at training, team bus, flights for our away games etc . An affidavit and a simple claim and FW comes potentially into contention outside of the contract - and in my experience, it’s a kangaroo court. We may have a counter claim for breach of contract but that’s usually treated as separate in the eyes of FW and may avoid mediation under the contract. The fact they have dropped a letter over Easter is not surprising. As a fan, ahead of the Monday game, insipid. But I hope the team is getting good advice and I’m happy to be a second pair of eyes. A legal letter is usually garbage, it’s whether they are willing to back it up and file a claim - whatever the jurisdiction.

Previously you could give benefit of the doubt to Galvin during all of this mess and put it down to his manager taking the wrong approach.

But now I’ve lost what little respect I have for this kid. You’re an adult, if you’re going to let your manager play dirty then you’re just as bad as him. Piss off to parramatta take your scum manager with you. Enjoy playing at the bottom of the table, hope your mental health can take it.
