You make a good point, which proves that his leaving is not purely a financial decision.People make dumb decisions based on small increments of money.
Galvin would have earned $1m a season & been in a system that is proving can work.
But, for the extra couple of dollars he will move to another club & into a system is not guaranteed to suit.
You see it happen all the time in a work environment.
I'm not saying Galvin is going to fail elsewhere.
But I am saying he's unlikely to be earning $1.5 million a season (I'd say half a million is worth taking the extra money for at that stage) & is risking putting himself into a situation that doesn't work for maybe a 5-10% overall financial increase on what the Tigers offered.
I think Benji is tracking ok. He seems to now be improving the reputation of players. Clear evidence with Galvin, with his agent signing such a poor contract with Tigers, indicated his low estimate of the young fella.
We need to keep him until end of 26 so he can complete his training.
