OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Agree - just saying it showed how superior they are to us - and in the last couple weeks teams have been piling on points very quickly since they have pulled back on the stoppages.
No one would have predicted.what happened in the Canberra/ Bulldogs game a couple of weeks ago. There is definitely a shift in the speed of the game that makes it difficult to defend. Melbourne have threats all over the park which makes it even more difficult to contain them.
We were comfortably ahead of St George last week too and they came back at us in the 2nd half - they are closer to us in terms of squads.
Basically pointing out a fast game only makes Melbourne more dangerous and us more vulnerable.
99999 out of 100000 it is 20 to 16 at HT V Dragobs

1 bad loss doesn't define this team. They will work hard at training and look to compete which is what they have done in every game excluding Melbourne.
I disagree at a fundamental level.
I have somewhat enjoyed the run this year as much as most, although have been quite critical of certain aspects of how they are playing. Our attack in the red zone is so disorganised, I feel like Im not watching professionals ply their trade. Our defence is poor despite the misleading points against stat that indicates it is improved.
Yesterday we saw a potential grand finalist exploit both of these, and how. That was First Grade v Jersey Flegg. Very embarrassing for a team boasting lots of experience and some big game players.
We are further away than I first thought. Most of the sides we have played are struggling as well.
May is running out of juice, Luai still does not do enough, Hunt does F-all, Galvin is Galvin, Api/Fainu/Pole still miss shitloads of tackles...other new blokes are plateauing...Turuva was worst on field.
We are not even into our hard stretch yet and have copped a 11 try to 0 hiding from a team not at full strength.
A finish higher than 13 looks unlikely and thats not good enough.

Mate have some perspective. We were always battling for 8th on the ladder if we were lucky. We've been in pretty much every game this year everything was in Melbourne's favour and depth sucks what do you expect?

I expect first grade players who have been working together since November to show some bloody cohesion. To show some form. To have a go.
None of that happened yesterday and its been like it in sections of every game this year to varying degrees.
You didnt watch the game, you cant comment.

Get rid of him, let him sit on the bench in reserves,
That will take away this tanking talk, I have yesterday realised he is really just that bad, he is blocking Luai, and causing him to play Galvin's game, very few want him in our team anymore,

JUST GET RID OF HIM, CAUSE EVERY LOSS, SUPPORTERS WILL SEE AS GALVIN TANKING,
WHEN ITS NOT THE CASE MAYBE,
MAYBE HE IS REALLY JUST THAT BAD.
Get a grip. I'm just Naden a point. But I understand your existential dilemma. He's not the Galvin of old. Seems to be in the team only for the benefit of the court case.

When Moses signed with the Eels, I seem to remember that he played a good game afterwards, possibly against the Cowboys. I think he even publicly committed to play out the season at the Tigers. But within a couple of weeks he was tanking. While Galvin has more integrity than Moses, it's evident that his heart isn't in it and his performances will continue to degrade over the course of the season.

I just could not bear to see them have a bad game against Souffs.

A bad loss against that filthy scum would really be bad, the scum shouldn't even be in the comp.

I don't care what fancy names you may want to call the colours but red and green should never be seen.

Kick 'em out or even better make them merge with Easts, how good would that be.

People he has a vindicative manager and a helicopter for a dad. He just wants to play football but at the end of the day we rushed this kid last year when we should not have, The kid has talent but his overall game has to many flaws to it. Would have thought our coaching staff would have corrected it or be working on it.
You must have forgotten, Benji can't coach.

Maybe Galvin knows something?
Up until yesterday everyone was happy with the trajectory we've been on, we won a few games in years past we wouldn't, we've been more gritty. We still have issues like attack in the red zone, depth and defensive lapses, though by and large we were all pretty much happier with the way we were going. Yesterday was an anomaly, it was a career worst game for pretty much the entire squad. This week against Souths will speak volumes about how the teams travelling. In terms of Galvin the only thing he knows is whatever daddy tells him.

Maybe.
I watched the Canberra /Bulldogs game with two more evenly matched teams -and now the NRL has pulled back on the stoppages - it shows how quickly one team can get the ascendency over another.
Canberra could have quite easily been 26 nil at half time - a ridiculous no try ruling against Starling - and Bulldogs reversed it with 32 unanswered points in the second half.
Both teams defensive structures completely ineffective when under pressure
Melbourne exploited our weaknesses and with only 3 penalties each and 5- 1 ruck infringements against us their adrenaline kicked in and our fatigue took over. Defence alone won't win you matches in these games and when you lack physicality and speed like we do we got exposed all over the park.
I said the same thing to my Dad, NRL at the moment is a knife's edge, you lose too much control and the opposition will carve you up.

For example Staines sets up either of those early try chances and we probably don't get flogged.

Broncos go 14 ahead of the Rabbits then wobble and get reeled in. Knights did the same against Titans.

Tigers' completions weren't even that bad, it was the kicking game and an inability to complete a tackle or slide in defence, that actually until now 2025 was much improved.

I don't understand how that team that ground out wins over Sharks and Dragons can be taken down 64-0. Not just the score, but our 3rd-worst result ever by what was an otherwise respectable team.
