OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Again. BENJI is the coach. He picked him. What is hilarious is - that if he scored that try - he would the hero. DHS.
Api dug us out of a hole - we deserved a win off the back of his efforts. Galvin, (after a generally poor game) shakily dummying to his outside men and then tentatively running in a try (which he didn’t score) wouldn’t have made him anyone’s hero.

AHX - just as much chance of being a flop as a success. At the moment the latter is more likely. A few grand finals are no lock in, could easily be out of the league in a few years. New 6 talent comes along, slows, does not add muscle to move into forwards, keeps being a ball hog and not working well with a team. This could go either way very easily.

The Galvin flame is well and truly extinguished…two games in a row where he has been bog average….you can see his heart is not into this team…he doesn’t talk out on the field like he used to…and you can also sense his “team mates” don’t really want him out there…
The more he plays, his value must be declining unless another club has locked in an agreement with his manager. In that case they may be looking for an exit strategy.

Their exit strategy would be to use the anti tampering rules to their favour. Unless they were actually dumb enough to put something in writing.

The elite halves look they have time. Galvin looks rushed and has no fluency whenever he is under pressure. In my opinion he is zero chance or becoming a career long elite half. He will be a good player, but not a chance of being elite. We dodged a huge bullet him knocking back that ridiculous offer

I'm going to miss Galvin. He is going to a few grand finals. He is smart. He wants a real coach.. Not an avatar of a past life. But I feel your pain. Supporters. Just there is no excuse. Our club is a breeding ground for the top clubs. That's West's Tigers. We grow the caterpillars - until they become butterflies. Btwn you and me - would you stay with us?

If he goes to Parra which he repoterdly desires he will not play in any grand finals

Galvin needs to go , if it can’t be done until next season then he plays reserve grade until, his game improves , Mosses can’t do shit if coach feels player is not performing , last few games Galvin has been poor , side ways running , taking our team to the edge of touch , poor passes either behind or to high , kicking game is shit house , .
If dogs want him now take sexton swap , we need 2 halves so Latu can earn his spot , he has not proved anything yet except he is soft

He has a way to go. The deal offered was pretty insane. Maybe the last few weeks has shattered him, not sure. He seems a bit confused and rushes moves alot (taps ball on alot), or takes too long with passes. TIming seems off. Might just be a bad patch IDK. But Tigers don't need to develop his game, as playing for Tigers is not in his plans, so probably best to move to Latu ASAP right

When Galvin regained the ball from the kick, he had time to take a step and place a grubber into the in-goal to put pressure on Mitchell. I can't believe he booted it over the dead ball line.

The dropped ball in the wet can happen. More importantly, I just think his gameplay is poor. I was more disapointted one minute before the dropped ball we had a 3 on 2 and he had to go for the hero cut out to Staines but passed it a metre behind him and we lost the momentum.

He will be a good first grader, but thats it. Matt Moylan standard in my opinion. Lacks a yard or game control to be anything more.
Yep consistently takes the wrong option.

his lack of pace is becoming more of a problem as time goes by.., defenders can rush up and cut down his time without fear of getting sidestepped … there isn’t much respect for him by the opposition..

He just need to go, it's not working for the team period. He constantly kills all momentum in attack, constantly running sideways.

I sat in the second row from the sideline last night. Souths practically had the ball for the first 10 minutes straight and Galvin was in the bin for 10. In 20 minutes I watched Galvin throw 3 forward passes (only one was picked up) 4 hospital passes were the recipient already had the defence in their face, kick the ball dead for a 7 set tackle and throw the ball into Charlie Staines head .....

Someone please remind me how his good moment outway the bad .......

The relationship is toast and for the sake of the team he needs go now, I pray to God the board releases him asap.
!!!!

unless some club is willing to offer the WT an elite player for an early release, I can’t see any benefit to the WT in cutting him loose early….he is only on $350k next year, so cap space is not an issue in keeping him….he can play exclusively for KOE and be on standby as a backup half for any injuries. playing him in KOE for the rest of his contract would bring up the standard of play for the wests magpies….and of course hold him back from a huge contract for 2026….let the punk fester in KOE for the remainder of his WT contract…unless we get an elite player swap…

He would still be in and around the squad, it's poisons the team culture ..... The relationship is broken.... He needs to go ASAP
