OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Just like the Club was well within it's rights to rip the band aid off & say it for what it is. Galvin had rejected the clubs offer & said they were not willing to entertain any offer from WT's. What were they supposed to do just sit on this news till the end of the season?
Yes but thats not the point is it? You said team Galvin released the news. Are you now backtracking that opinion?
I don't understand how you are trying to make this out like it's all the clubs fault & Galvin has had no part in this.
Im not making that out at all. I cant help it if people cant comprehend simple sentences.
My opinion has been unwavering since the preseason on 2024.
This kid does not want to play here. The clubs reaction was to fast track him into first grade in a clear bribe. Even after that, he still wanted out.
His main reason, explained by his own press release in response to the club's emotional one, was that he felt his game would grow in a different system. He felt he wasnt being developed properly here under Benji's regime. No Shit! I said this all last year.
This kid is good, but not ready to run the attack of a professional football team at NRL level. That was vindicated with our results. We failed at a fundamental level to manage his playing career. Had he come through the system as TDS did, who knows what the outcome may have been?
He has knocked back a $mill or so and may sign elsewhere for 70% of that. That is extremely damning.
It indicates to me that the club is likely still a shitshow that has successfully masked its shortcomings up until round 10 when it was fully exposed by a team that has its own struggles this year.
Fans love a scapegoat. Its about time people wake up and realise that this has been happening for too long, irrespective of who is in charge here. Moving Galvin on wont solve our problems. At the very worst he is a good depth player. I do not think he is a week in week out first grade 5/8.
The clud has ignored results and still lost him to another franchise.
That makes me far angrier than him liking Instagram posts....

So u can post crap but u get upset when some one posts the truth , I will continue to speak my mind , but it will not be bullshit like ur post
Everything youve posted is conjecture.
There isnt an ounce of varifiable truth to any of it.
One of the members on here has contridicted this narrative recently and has done so as he personally knows this family.
What you have said is nothing short of butthurt fanboy BS.

Am I correct in saying then, that you don't believe the Galvin camp engaged in any behaviour that undermined reputations of the club or individuals at the club over the process?
Do you think Camp Concorde can produce good players?
Saying that this club cant develop a player as well as others can is not the same thing as saying that Benji cant coach.
Our management have backed up this point.
It is only being kept alive by the fans.

This shit has had an impact on recruiting. Attention of the club has been diverted to managing all of this, and reactive decisions possibly being made that aren't in the best interests of the club, i.e., reports of Reynolds for two seasons on $700k pa.
Thats on the club. He gave them plenty and I mean a very generous amount of notice. If they cant get their shit together re: recruitment, than they should be replaced.
Lost Olam, lost Klemmer, losing Galvin. In the meantime, I've read Souths make two additions to their depth this week in Bronson Garlick and Moala Graham-Taufa. Not world beaters by any stretch, but you need a top 30 to be competitive over a season. WT's is shrinking.
Yes, this isnt good news for us roster wise.

I don't know how many footy sides you have played in Tucker, but how would you feel playing with someone who threatens legal action if he thinks you bullied him? It's a common practice in rugby league for players to call out team members for what they believe was an error. Galvin or his carers have brought this on themselves, and his place in the side is untenable in my opinion. I guess we will never know if this was their plan.
Plenty. I would have reacted poorly and he would have seen what real bullying was.
Thats me though and one reason why I never made it anywhere near this level.
They are at this level.
They are expected to find a solution as professionals.
Our management should have used tactics to ease him out of the club.
Theyve done F-all. One week in reggies and a piss poor transfer fee. Wheres his replacement?

The one constant in all of this is
Issac Moses
Isaac Moses complained because sheens couldn’t relate or the develop the younger players - sheens punted
Isaac Moses complains about the assistant coaches - Robbie gone
His clients (Bateman and Klemmer) supposedly complained and wanted out because Benji treated the younger players (Galvin - an Issac Moses client) differently
His client (Galvin) complains he can’t be developed at tigers (protected in wrestling drills etc)

Isaac Moses is the main problem at wests tigers this season

Oh yeah, that was more bullsh*t from Gould. The best outcome would be for Galvin's arrival to force out Mitchell Woods and he goes on to star elsewhere.
LOL that would be good but I doubt it.
Gus has been planning this for ages. He knows exactly what he will do and how the pieces will move on his chess board to accomodate this signing should it proceed.

Not our lack of depth in the pack where we moved on 4 starters and didnt replace them all?

He hasnt cared or given a shit for quite a while...

Weve sucked for 15 years and this kid comes along the media build up to be something special, fans get emotionally invested along with our other new recruits things finally look up

Nek minnit

People are furious and god forbid...emotional
That’s got nothing to do with anything I said. People have a right to be pissed off. But some take it too far, suddenly downplaying his ability and claiming he’s tanking when he isn’t. There’s enough reasons to hate him. You don’t need to make up reasons.

What do u know , I happen to know someone very close to benji and we chat nearly every week , I don’t ask him for any info but he does get me some info , I don’t push him for anything as he’s a friend and I don’t want to over step our friendship, so I think I know kore than u

Yeah that makes sense.
Listen to what you are saying...this isnt local park footy. Do you really thing that a professional football club in the most elite competition in the world would give this directive to a second year kid who is struggling?
Yeah
its crazy eh?
But its what ive seen at times

The 2 props replaced but none of the 2RF's is a concern but the lack of isn't helping, possible KPP (if it ever happens) helps but need at least one more and still need another impact prop in my opinion.

Think Richo is trying hard for more forwards but is all this latest crap making potentials balk, strong possibility.

You didn't answer my question though.

To answer yours ; yes, I believe we can produce good players. Not as consistently as other systems, obviously, but that's not to say every player would develop better elsewhere by default. There are several factors that would influence that.

I agree, that's not the same, but it's objectively and heavily intertwined. When you're a young, starting first grade player, the first grade coaching staff, and by default the head coach, are the very people in charge of your development, basically exclusively. This follows then, that if you feel you can't develop to your best here, then the coaching staff in charge of that development, most notably the head coach, have insufficient skills to facilitate that development, i.e., 'can't coach'.

It's not that much of a stretch.
