Gus in damage control - will be on every mates podcast with "I never have met Galvin" mantra.

No club wants their star juniors if they have got them courted like Galvin has been with Gould.
What's the point of developing players for him to pick off the ones he wants through his influence as supremo NRL guru.
He doesn't have to meet them he sends their ex school coach and Ciraldo to do his work - as if they would independently do that without direction!
It has caused immense damage to what pathways represents which is to bring your juniors through and if Gus has free reign to pick off the ones he wants and no other club can get near his than all clubs should coming for him.

On a 100% footy about a month ago he said he had a discussion and advised Galvin about his future, then later said if he was advising Galvin. He can’t keep up with his own lies
 
The issue with ‘he’ll make up the difference in his next contract’ is possible, but so is his form declines or he becomes a forward or a career injury. Then there is no ‘catch up’
It is a gamble by team Galvin
 
I’ll be pretty stunned if Sexton is punted right off the bat. Next year is another story, but next week? The wise thing would be to ease him in on the bench. It would be less disruptive.

I’m sure he has a legitimate third party deal at Canterbury to make up most of the difference

Depends on how many Teams want a 7 (Sexton) Right now.
