OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I think it was pretty clear that it was Benji who wanted Galvin, Richardson was doing his best to retain him - like any good CEO should. - until Moses made it clear he wasn't interested at any price. The numbers then became a bargaining tool for whichever club was prepared to take him on. The contract was never presented.
Parramatta were just as eager to pay whatever it took and the Bulldogs have sabotaged everything that was going good for them to accommodate him. Given Galvins lack of commitment to the club the exit/ outcome was in our best interest.

Like most I enjoy seeing The Dogs and Galvin struggle, but I think Galvins is going a bit better than most of his team mates and the forward pack is a rabble.
The halves job is to make those around him better. Galvin’ a plays are all about himself. I’d prefer Jock Madden at 7 than Galvin. Or in the Bulldogs case Sexton at 7 over Galvin.

Do they keep a stat of how many shit passes a player throws that were dropped by the receiver...i counted at least 3 from lloyd just in the second half.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .and the fools thought when they got Lloyd that all their Christmases had come at once. 🤣 🤣 🤣

that dogs pack has no size to it
Lloyd is not playing well however AD's success this year shows you need a good forward pack

Shane offered Galvin 1 million dollars per season, it’s just very lucky for us that he turned him down,

An offer Galvin and his Manager didn’t bother to even look at right ?

Whether through good luck or good management …he is Gould and Ciraldo’s issue now …they wanted him….and let’s not forget they were competition leaders when he first went there, and players have since been moved on to accomodate him,,,sliding doors moment for them..

That’s bcoz Galvin is not a 7.
Not even in the the top half of 5/8’s, he could be one day.
But they are desperate to prove he was worth it.

I'm not sure there's a worse halfback in the game. Perhaps Flanagan? But Flanagan's kicking game is pretty reliable. I'd say it's close between them.

Galvin has potential if he can get much stronger, but without speed, consistent passing or kicking and his difficulty organising a backline, it's hard to see how he eventually becomes a good halfback.

He always looked best with space out wide on our own 20 metre line and having option only to pass, cut out pass or run. In that situation he created well for Bula a number of times.

I don't see a position for him in the NRL at the moment, if he gets a lot stronger he can be a good hard working lock. But he's nowhere near that physical level both in attack and defense at the moment.

His defence was pretty solid yesterday.
He had strong attack coming at him and made his tackles 30 in total with only 1 missed.
Yeah, I think he's making a lot of progress in all aspects of his game. His kicking is also a lot better this year. It's just that none of it would be at a top NRL level. And with most of us seeing his future being in 2nd row or lock, he is currently getting through his tackles, but he's not near being a valuable dominant tackler like what you need in those positions.

Lachlan will be happy with his game because he scored an individual try. I still think he plays like it's all about him. He went ok but not sure he should be given the keys to any FG squad while ever he has the hero mentality that seems to be firmly ingrained from treating him like a superstar far too early from all and sundry.

Karma can take a little while to come back around in footy, but when it does, it’s pretty sweet. Never forget the propaganda machine going into overdrive the second he signed with the Dogs. Fox Sports were clearly on the take during that period. Was absolutely sickening. The world revolved around him going into that first game against Parra. It’s like they had Lachy cam while he was sitting on the bench. Then the vomit inducing highlight package narrated by Johns. Sadly, the only downside of Fox Sports putting the spotlight on the Dogs, they will never acknowledge their role in building him up. Maybe they built him up to knock him down? Anyway, the Origin player they were building him up to be is a long way off. Even as political as NSW selections are, not even politics can justify him getting anywhere near a Blue jersey anytime soon.

l wonder if Ciraldo persists with him at 7 v Penrith.

He was quick to blame the penalty count but Panthers are another animal and will find weaknesses out.

At this stage I think Burton is still their best 6 and maybe Lachy needs to be benched or find some confidence in reserves.

Burton will be moved before Lloyd

Galvin did what he did and left us to get better , his manager and father agreed this was the best way forward , the way it was done was extremely poor on their side , and it didi damage our season , I have no sympathy for the kid he needs to be bought back to reality same for his father , he is not that great ( yet ) and it’s still a maybe , he will cop a absolute lesson when he faces the panthers , the dogs are weaker now that prior to his arrival every one can see it so they just have to suck it up but going backwards won’t help them, the first injury he get will see him out of the team and back via reserve grade specially if they win with out him
