How is it ridiculous. TDS has way more talent than either Haywood or Hope and he is only 21.
Tristan will be 28, he has had his chance and he will definitely play reggies for the rest of his career.
Haywood is 19 so there is a chance, but his first 3 games were very average.

Huh … I’m actually agreeing with you and saying the other blokes statement is ridiculous..if Haywood was playing well as the other bloke is saying …then he would be selected in front of Hope who is not up to NRL standard…haywoodn

Nah he started an nrl game during the year. Looked all class... albeit a bit timid and didnt back himself as much as he could have, but thats fair on debut. but I saw why theres been such hype around him.

Api is going to be 34 and TDS has just turned 21. Whilst I love Api, TDS should have been given more minutes to ensure he stayed. He is the future, and after watching him this year at Parra, he reminds me of Robbie, in the way that he plays and how he is quickly developing. We mucked up.

He would likely have got more minutes at the tigers. He didn’t want to wait and left for more $$$ as well.

Probably the right call… but saying he looks “way better” than TDS who has played 50 + NRL games is a hot take …
I thought TDS improved a lot over the course of the season , and looks an NRL starter right now …

He wanted to be the starter come 2027 … thought he had done his apprenticeship by then … Tigers preferred to sign Api 2 more years

Why would they have lost him ? He would be in the same position he is now …Api would be gone end of this year … Haywood is still only 19

He is immensely talented and another club would 100% come in for him because his pathway was blocked. Bit like what happened with Tallan at a similar age really...

I don’t know Haywood’s comtract situatuon …but physically he looks behind TDS at the same age …also appears lhe is not even in the plans for next year with the signing of Brailey as the backup …so we won’t really know how he looks as a regular first grader a while yet ..

A lot on here only look at who puts the ball down over the line.
Not who created the chance.
It’s a pity we lost TDS but he would have been playing of the bench or ressies if he stayed here while API is here.
