Galvin's a stud.
Leave him exactly where he is and let him continue to be a stud.
He does things like catching and kicking in a nanosecond and still putting in a better kick than Brooks did in a decade.

I’ve been saying this since midway through last year.
Kid is an excellent footballer…he is not an excellent half.

The thing the kid has got to remember is if he goes anywhere else, what guarantee does he have that he stays in the halves long term.

He needs to realise that where ever he ends up, that despite his skill and energy that it's his body shape, size and speed that will eventually determine what position he provides the best value for a team.

He is very young and he has a lot of development ahead of him in what could potentially be a very lengthy NRL career provided that the injury/scandal Gods smile favourably on him.

If he doesn't know that yet, he will eventually work that out and I still believe that if we have a good season and things go well with this team that despite his father, scumbag Moses and whoever else is in his ear that he signs on to stay here.

Galvin needs to play 6 - Latu is a backup for me. I don’t really rate him as a 9 - I think we need a specialist hooker on the bench for most games.

we also need to remember Galvin only 19, so maybe he’ll get a rest every 10 or so games. Might not be a bad option.

Latu showed his quality last night. We need to find a way to get them both on the field and there is a edge backrow spot and probably lock available.

Given Galvin's size, he's the obvious candidate when he puts some muscle on.

I am happy we have both and I am looking forward to watching them both play this season.

In my opinion, Latu is a more dynamic runner and his passing game is at least as good as Galvin’s (Latu has very quick hands). Thus he poses a pass and run threat. Galvin is slower and his height and weight make him much less a running threat. Defensively, Latu is better hands down. Plus there is a decent possibility Galvin will need to transfer to the back row in a few years.

Someone else said it here that the elephant in the room is that Galvin is blocking Latu and I agree with it. Latu was the higher rated junior and it was only because of his hamstring last year that Galvin got his foot in the door.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

IMO Latu and Galvin must be in the starting lineup…given the club won’t move Galvin from 5/8, is put Latu at 13 and Bird or Twal at 11…

Funny how the NRL wouldn't let Laurie Daley do any work for us and he also had to pass up other opportunities which no doubt cost him financially not to mention possible reputational damage because of his supposed conflicts of interest with his gambling connections.

I have to agree that you have to keep any perception of corruption due to gambling well away from the game, it is in no way a good look, but somehow it's OK for Gus to say or do whatever he likes and the NRL look the other way pretending there is no conflict of interest.

The game is riddled with it, that Vlandys is a scum bag and there’s plenty of match fixing involved.

I think back to that game against the Cowboys 2023?? The bullshit penalty captain challenge at the end of the game, absolute farce that happened and ofc it happened to us, it will never happen again btw the only team to lose like that will be the Wests Tigers
