Lame Membership Numbers - Whats the fix?

We all have our own reason for joining or not joining. Myself, it was the quality of games Campbelltown received, plus the decisions taken by management. The only way i could express my disapproval was with my wallet.

Last year I attended one Campbelltown match and 1 at ANZ and the heritage match at the SCG.

All this and I live a 1 hr 45 minute drive or so from Campbo, so the option of going to the matches I want to watch is preferable. Im sure there are many others who feel similar to me.

As for targetting the kids, good work. If my kids said they wanted to watch more matches, I would do it in a heartbeat.

You're kidding right, of course some of them are going to show up. In fact I bet a few them re-signed today as it made them feel all good about themselves and the club again. How else do you expect the club to find out why people have not renewed?

During the lapsed member Q&A, it was clear that Mayer's intention is for a full time move to ANZ. Even applying that move, i don't think membership will rise (due to revolt of fan base who are emotionally or locally tied to LO & CSS)

- super frustrated at WT member numbers
- wants people to move on from Magpies and Balmain… But acknowledges fan frustrations from magpie too small or not enough orange on jersey
- says Campbelltown fans wanted night games (not sure where that came from)
- wont yet speculate or commit to a new HQ location
- says 'council hurdles' make LO unviable
- "major announcements in next 2 weeks"
And as mentioned, really wants to put attachment to LO/CSS behind so WT can move to ANZ

It's a basic human trait mate, a lot of people who feel disgruntled over something want to vent their feelings to someone who will listen. Why do you think companies have complaint lines? I'm sure you have been stuck with a person that won't stop complaining about how they have been hard done by. I also think giving some of these people a chance to vent would actually promote some of them to re-signing as members.

I thought this was a forum for disillusioned fans to tell the clubs management why they aren't renewing their membership. This sounds more like a forum for the clubs management to tell disillusioned fans reasons why they shouldn't renew.

It would be interesting to send out a survey to all members, (current) to really see what they want….

I can understand playing more games at ANZ... It's the only option in the future.

However we still need to keep our links back to those communities we have risen from, maybe 2 games a year at each suburban ground, make them real events?

Packed houses hopefully?
