A person close to Simon who told me that Simon would likely never play again told me the same thing.

Ive done a similar injury to simon in my shoulder and needed nerve graft done, my shoulder has never been the same after a long op n rehab. All the best and hopefully a speedy recovery

By walking him off the field WT failed in their duty of care. Simon should take every legal action possible to ensure his future is secure.

re. legal stuff, just be careful what you post here guys.
While the injury is tragic, this is not the appropriate place to be giving legal advice. I know you have every good intention and everything, but lets not muddy the waters by going down that road.

Feel free to talk about it with your mate at the pub, just not here please

Best bit of news I have heard all week.

had a quick chat with a doctor, reckons it is possible but very unlikely to be career ending. That said the doctor gave the usual caveat, without knowing the full details it is difficult to tell…..

I choose to take the good news from his report as gospel

I hope the kid is alright, football and otherwise, I have been a fan of his footy from the beginning, and met him at the races and thought he was a champion young bloke, and his mate with him was a good bloke too, my fingers are crossed
