Its been obvious for some time that the Tigers are only a backup position, if he is this hard to sign, imagine how hard he is going to be to motivate, tell him to get on his bike and keep our powder dry

Tending to agree, I want him but not if he is going to carry on like this.
Time to tell him our offer has an expiry date. Tomorrow afternoon.

That’ll get him to sign ?

5.7 mill haha jeez. I think Paul Kent is on the money.

Honestly we should pull the deal and do a new one at 800k a year instead of a mill. See how his manager goes explaining thst to LM.

Let's face it. He doesn't want to come here. They are holding out for others to get their books right.
That alone should be enough to walk away from the deal.

Well if he doesn't sign, then we walk away and look at our options, we have let some experienced players go so we could have a war chest of cash and do not appear to have signed anyone, except some depth & development players.
The season is coming fast.

Is there any other fullbacks on the market? We have tried Moylan he turned us down and it doesn’t look like Anthony Milford is going any where

That’s a good idea. He’s not signing at 5.7m so let’s reduce that amount.

@matchball i agree inwant him to sign but it looks obvious he wants to just up the money and head elsewhere
lets take granville then from cowboys for a year and go for Semi R

The last paragraph of a Dean Ritchie article in the Tele sums it up perfectly

I’m not sure how much more we can take. Please put us out of our collective misery, Latrell.

@avocadoontoast
Yeah, reverse psychology I get it. Then when he doesn't sign for less, make it less again. Keep going till we get it to ZERO and get him to come here for free.

I think he’s just trying to make as much money as possible I don’t think that means he doesn’t want to come here

If we pull Mitchells contract we could throw some cash at Arrow and see if he accepts, if the Titans are geuinely interested in Mitchell they may let him go to free uo some cap space, seeing as though noone else seems interested in their roster, or we could offer Arrow a deal and whoever Mitchell or Arrow takes it first wins. That might speed things along a bit.

The writing is on the wall ... and it spells 4 years of immaturity, big-headedness, awkward swagger and looking over his shoulder for more & more coin.
The Roosters don’t ostracise players for no reason!

As annoying as all the assumptions are, I’m still hopeful there is some truth in that Latrell has already signed, hopeful being the key word.
However, let’s remember that latrell has hired a manager/agent to get him as much cash as possible, if anyone is playing games it’s his management, so the fact it hasn’t been announced doesn’t mean Latrell doesn’t want to be at the tigers.
I do think the tigers need to step up and perhaps show interest in other players, make some noise to potentially lure his agent into taking our offer.
