I can't recall this level of insecurity shown by so many in the seven or eight years since I first started looking at this forum, and all over a potential signing.

Well you have to admit it would be a pretty big signing if we we were to get him, probably the biggest this club has ever entertained and one that could potentially turn us into a premiership threat for the first time in a long time. Given that, and our abysmal record of beating other clubs to the signature of any elite player when they are available, I’d say there is pretty good reason for the high level of insecurity in this instance.

For goodness sake ..... just get it over and done with .... and
I don’t care which way this goes.
Another soap opera with a manager and player playing games.
Give me guys like Turbo boys any day.

I actually think things are moving pretty fast. It wasnt two weeks ago that the Roosters pulls the plug on him, in that time he has gone to Taree, fought fires, supposedly met with Tigers and now is in Townsville. Thats a lot happening. A lot for a young kid to take in

Does anyone else think there will be another team that will join the party for him at the last min other than us and cows ??

Wouldnt surprise me if the Dogs leap back in, especially if they can get some cap relief for Foran

@Glenn5150 That's what i was thinking as didn't LM say he was keen on a dogs move.. I hope not but it is the Tigers we are talking about..

The manager knows, the player knows, the media knows and the admins know. Just us fee paying members that hope.

I’m hoping (Wishing) garner is the first of 5 this week

It is the Tigers we are talking about so I will never be confident until I see an official release, but I actually think we should be able to cover the Dogs. Better roster, better coach, no real difference in facilities or lifestyle, IMO a better culture.

Give this topic a rest.

So much crap. If he signs he signs. If not, the sun will still rise in the east and life will go on.

@colinbh If you don't like reading it ………… DON'T.

Unfortunately you have to read each post to know if it is an expression of angst rather than news or rumours.

Hope this media pest drives him away from NQ into our arms 😅

Hahaha good to see him haveing a laugh aye haha I reakon we still got him

I hope Mitchell signs elsewhere to be honest ...does anyone really think that this kid is going to carry the team that everybody thinks he will ?
I do not think he is a fullback for starters and if he does play in that position his rep career is over that alone will cause issues. If he is willing to come to the Tigers for the money well this will not end well , the pressure on him from the supporters to perform every week will
be huge .
Unlike most I am not to keen on Mitchell signing yes there will be a sugar hit but I do not have a great feeling about this , I would prefer to sign Drinkwater from the Cowboys a young kid that can play a lot less money and has a lot less pressure .. just be careful what you wish for!

I don’t understand this Drinkwater hype. From what I saw he’s a marginal upgrade on what we have. Mitchell is in a completely different league.

@Snake There will always be options. If no LM, I highly rate Drinkwater. If the dogs take him, DWZ becomes available. Maybe Valentine? Options present....
