I hope Mitchell signs elsewhere to be honest ...does anyone really think that this kid is going to carry the team that everybody thinks he will ?
I do not think he is a fullback for starters and if he does play in that position his rep career is over that alone will cause issues. If he is willing to come to the Tigers for the money well this will not end well , the pressure on him from the supporters to perform every week will
be huge .
Unlike most I am not to keen on Mitchell signing yes there will be a sugar hit but I do not have a great feeling about this , I would prefer to sign Drinkwater from the Cowboys a young kid that can play a lot less money and has a lot less pressure .. just be careful what you wish for!

They'd just move Drinkwater to 5/8 if they signed Mitchell.

I don’t understand this Drinkwater hype. From what I saw he’s a marginal upgrade on what we have. Mitchell is in a completely different league.

You'd have to think if Mitchell spoke to any of our ex players i.e Matterson, Tedesco and now maybe even Marsters, there wouldn't be too much said in our favour.

To be honest, i want Mitchell here, but a part of me just wants to see him sort out everything he needs to in his private life so he can become the player that he should be. If that happens to be at another club, then as much as it will grate on me it's not with us, so be it.

I can't see how Matterson or tedesco could slag the club.

Matterson left because Madge trained the poor battler too hard and he wanted more money

Tedesco left to win premierships and make more money.

It's not as though the club hasn't tried to sign quality players in the past, and surely players can see the current management righting the ship

By all reports, Marsters left on very good terms with us. Not sure what he would have to bag us about.
