There isn’t a single concrete thing that’s come out about latrell to Souths besides media ramblings and some rubbish from a Souths forum And everyone has already conceded that he’s going there hahaha

I think it’s more... accepting the worst case scenario.
Plus, Everyone is just ready to move on at this point.

QUOTE Wednesday 18th December, 2019 a date to mark down in history as the day the good guys stole one back.

Ladies and Gentleman - Latrell Mitchell is a Rabbitoh.

Bunnies version of the Pom, but who knows what to believe. They are saying farewells to AJ also.

Not sure how I will feel if we basically solved their cap probs, allowed them a superstar......and got ourselves another underwhelming player. Such is life as a Tiger's fan...

If this is true we should riot

At the end of the day it’s just further proof that we’re not an attractive destination. It doesn’t matter how much money we have, the elite players don’t want to come here. It really doesn’t matter who our coach is.

only thing that will change that is stable management and winning footy games

Can’t win footy games without a good roster. And we can’t get a good roster.

You can get a good rooster if you accept it takes time and you have to build slowly. You might not get the quick fix of someone like Latrell but you can keep picking up good players and developing a competitive squad. We are making good purchases now and we are going for the right type of players.

I don't see things as being that bad.

I agree. You get a team of guys wanting to play for tigers and for each other, then you'll see a vast improvement.
You get overpaid mercenaries then that's what the squad will look like. and players will only ever come here for the money

Yep with a team of hard workers and young guys looking for an opportunity but no superstars we might be able to hang on to that coveted 9th spot.

Who knows what is true, but he is their version of the Pom.

Having said that, as a mate just told me, our version of the Pom gets things wrong occasionally 🙂 Hopefully this bloke is wrong.

We all should know soon though as AJ's release will he the first part of it.

After all this, to end up with AJ would be underwhelming but this is kind of who we are. I have followed for 40 years now and we just never seem to jag the really elite Kangaroo level players.

Just my opinion but I don’t think LM ever seriously entertained the idea of coming here. It’s a shame he would hav3e been exactly what we needed. I think if we got Johnson or Gagai instead that would be massively underwhelming.

LM would have been huge we all know that. But imagine if he reluctantly takes the contract and half asses it.
Now if the rumors are true and he is going to south's someone will take their players why not us. If we don't take aj or gagai or someone they will still end up with mitchel and we get nothing.
Yes the sting of not getting lm is there but open up a bit. Aj and gagai are better then what we have imo.

I know i just said why is everyone conceding defeat blah blah but if any situation occurs where we essentially aid Souths to sign the one player we have chased all off season and sign any of their rejects, we should be relegated to nsw cup. Forget all this rubbish about players who want to play for the club. Keep up that attitude and will be pushing for the longest finals drought in NRL history

If that's what ends up happening, we can't say for sure that Latrell wasn't already signed up to Souths and then we took AJ after Latrell committed.

The number of people however that seemed to have gotten tips that Latrell is/was joining Tigers, to state it confidently online... so much misinformation around all this. A lot of people are going to be extraordinarily wrong about the Latrell contract situation.

Quote Says “at this point” (lies) offer is still there and they want it, but still somehow have drawn the LONG bow of ignoring the fact that he said “at this point” Meaning that they aren’t closed off to signing him as they said tigers are. I can’t wait for January or maybe Monday.

Thanks Smokey! So how many new backs are we signing again, so exciting . LM, AJC and AJ. Is that it?

Latrell still up in the air. Souths still can’t sign him until they offload about $600k more on top of AJ

You had said that Lattrell was a Wests Tigers certainty.

True.
One way or another there will be a lot of egg on a lot of faces.

Right? First it’s LM a certainty, then it’s up in the air. Then it’s JAC this week, then it’s not. Now it’s AJ..lol

Dart meet dartboard.

Happy to eat humble pie if these 3 pan out, but I doubt I’ll have to.

Imagine thinking gagai in the centre’s would be worse than Momorovski or mbye. IMAGINE.

He is worse, Gagai is a horrendous club footballer.

He never used to be. I though he was great at Newcastle, been pretty average since joining Souths though.

No good but my guess is LM has made it quite clear he is not coming to us by either telling us or by not getting back to is at all as Pascoe said in QnA

This is what the WESTS TIGERS ARE ALL ABOUT NOW
We’re trying to build a culture around this club as a destination club where players and staff can be really proud to be here and want to be here.

Some people saying we shouldn’t help souths but forget that he can go there after next season anyway.

If LM has made his intent clear who he wants to be with move on. AJ isn’t as bad as people think he isn’t a superstar but is an upgrade on Thommo and Jennings.

Gets a bit boring after about 4 years, just reiterating it over and over. They need to actually act on this slogan or move onto a less challenging one.

I’ve got no idea what might happen and I pretty much don’t trust any of the info in here anymore
So many definitely comings aren’t or are they
I give up and I’ll just wait on what the club tells me

But that’s the thing , he’s shown enough flashes, that he actually could be . Moylan Is oconsidered a “superstar” lol. CNK was languishing in warriors purgatory, until last year. Morgan took a while to come on. Papenhuyzen was shopped in the first few rounds. DWZ was told to pack his bags. Dylan Edwards is also on the outer.
My point is it ebbs and flows from season to season. Ponga when signed was considered a huge risk , in the vein of Karl Filiga.
