QUOTE Wednesday 18th December, 2019 a date to mark down in history as the day the good guys stole one back.

Ladies and Gentleman - Latrell Mitchell is a Rabbitoh.

Bunnies version of the Pom, but who knows what to believe. They are saying farewells to AJ also.

Not sure how I will feel if we basically solved their cap probs, allowed them a superstar......and got ourselves another underwhelming player. Such is life as a Tiger's fan...

Dear God...can we catch a break for once? :sob:

So what was our Chairman rambling on about his chat with Politis. He has embarrassed himself and the WT. Can someone tell him to shut up and stop talking to the media

I’ve got no idea what might happen and I pretty much don’t trust any of the info in here anymore
So many definitely comings aren’t or are they
I give up and I’ll just wait on what the club tells me

I know right. I really respected drone operators until the drone intel was false.

I thought it was Politis who contacted Lee, not the other way round!

That is the weird bit to me.

Chairman Lee : Politis contacted me, we know what is going on. LM is a great kid, I know him personally. Etc. Etc.

Vs

CEO Pascoe: We have no contact with anyone since we pulled the offer.

You do not recruit elite talent passively. Look at the NBA and NFL, which our players / managers are all following in how they do things...you recruit aggressively.

Polits rang our boss.............who knows an elite, world class, player who is available...........

And we all then sat there and 'hoped' the phone rang?

Look at how aggressively the Clippers fought to get Kawhi (NBA fans will know the reference).

Yet we just sat back and hoped the phone would ring again? Despite the chairman having a DIRECT link to Politis and LM?

(Yes, I also get the mantra of "we only want players who want us"...but that does not work in modern sport. 'We' need to convince 'them' why they should want us. You need to be aggressive in modern recruitment in all sports globally)

Folks wanted the chair to be more vocal/visible tho... One of the constant complaints on here when BoF was chair...

But it seems like he's misreading the situation or misleading fans, either way, it's wrong

Agree. Rather not hear from him at all. But that's just me.

this new chairman Lee should stay out of the media leave it to Madge and Pascoe

He’s proving to be a bit of a novice .... got taken in by the hype just like so many on here.

The guy (LM) and his hangers on always looked like something to stay away from. Roosters knew the problems first hand and dealt with the situation. I respect them for that.
Mundine fingerprints all over this.

We got taken for a ride and got used like a lolly wrapper. It appears we dodged a bullet. And believe me no matter how good this guy is it’s just not worth it.

Yes Our a chair should leave the recruitment and associated management of the media in respect to recruitment and players to the CEO and the Coach.

I think you may be right, he might be alright for 6 months or so, but I think longer term he will cause trouble, in saying that I would still take a punt on him at the WestsTigers

At the end of the day it’s just further proof that we’re not an attractive destination. It doesn’t matter how much money we have, the elite players don’t want to come here. It really doesn’t matter who our coach is.

only thing that will change that is stable management and winning footy games

Can’t win footy games without a good roster. And we can’t get a good roster.

You can get a good rooster if you accept it takes time and you have to build slowly. You might not get the quick fix of someone like Latrell but you can keep picking up good players and developing a competitive squad. We are making good purchases now and we are going for the right type of players.

I don't see things as being that bad.

I agree. You get a team of guys wanting to play for tigers and for each other, then you'll see a vast improvement.
You get overpaid mercenaries then that's what the squad will look like. and players will only ever come here for the money

Yep with a team of hard workers and young guys looking for an opportunity but no superstars we might be able to hang on to that coveted 9th spot.

I believe we won a gf with that type of squad.....
