Mitchell and Bennett have combined for the past ten weeks to again make Wests Tigers look like fools. Our Administration try so hard to look like tough traders but in actual fact are very naive amateurs at the trading /signing part of the game. No way near good enough. Most would have told Mitchell to get lost when it was clear that he was using Wests Tigers for his own gain. Instead Wests tigers carried on negotiating with him and lost the valuable time involved they could have used to negotiate with whatever class players were available during thisperiof of time. These class players are no longer avaiable now.

Wests tigers,. through their own negligent fault, have hit quick sand and are sinking. How and if they can get out of this result of negligence remains to be seen..

Class players? Who are they?

I really don't understand this post.

We did tell Mitchell to get lost. The only official word from Tigers since we withdrew our offer is (1) we would consider reopening negotiations if Latrell approached us (from Lee H); (2) nobody at Tigers has spoken to Latrell since then (from Pascoe).

There is no evidence of any further negotiation besides the original offer.

Furthermore, negotiating with one player does not in any way preclude you from negotiating with another. You reckon the recruitment team spend 24/7 speaking to just one player?

Who are "the class players" who are no longer available? By all reports we made an offer to Latrell and a late offer to Arrow, which are the only two top-tier players so far available.

You could not post more inaccurately if you tried.

Since you are into stats how about you post a time frame on each these contacts WT had with LT and you will see how inaccurate you are with your criticism.

The first contact with LT was months ago. Wests Tigers went kowtowing to Mitchell to the extent that Madge and his associate drove all the way to Taree to talk to him. Mitchell from all reports was very non-committal. Weeks later WT arranged another meeting with Mitchell and his manager. Ir's a known fact that Mitchell did not turn up to this meeting and did not apologise. Still Wests tigers kept kowtowing to Mitchell and told him that the door was still open for negotiations.

All of the above took time and effort on Wests tigers part. Wests tigers were so focused on Mitchell that they did not spend a fraction of the time they could have spent on suitable players which were available for negotiation at that time. Milford was one of these players as well as a player who plays from Cronulla who plays 5/8/ centre/fullback.

Have you thought maybe WT didn't want these two dopes.

How can you be kowtowing to a player when you aren’t actively speaking to him, I don’t know. Your definition of kowtow seems different to mine. Kowtowing to Latrell when you pull your offer to him!

Looks like I have to educate you. Check you dictionary; "Kowtowing is acting in an excessively subservient manner". As subservient is not usually a word you associate with I can define that for you as well.

Well Johnstone certainly wasn't one of them.

So do you really believe that Johnstone any better than these two "dopes". Or are you happy to subsidise South Sydney's CAP.

Why wouldn't we? We have money to spend and they are miles better than our current fullback.

The 4 stages of the off season
We have no cap space to buy players.
We don't need any players.
There isn't any players available.
We never approached any players.

Three of them are dopes - not happy to buy anybody off Souffs that would be available to tell you the truth.

The sooks are probably the people like me who pour $1000s into this Club every year

Well don’t if it makes you feel better.

Yep never try to adress the problems that might exist, just take away your financial benefit made to the club so some how this will make you feel better ?
I have my own thoughts about Madge but let’s see how the coming season pans out and what type of footy the team will be playing this season , this to me is the most important thing moving into 2021 with lots of money to spend ...there were issues with how the team played last season in regards to structure and the lack of planned moves !

Like what ? I thought our attack looked significantly better than Cleary ball ? 16-12 wins and people saying “they scrambled and played with real heart “ was tough to watch. The issue was no ball playing fullback . That’s as clear as day . The attack had to be manufactured from the inside out , instead of giving the outside backs early ball and room to move. Do you disagree ?

Milford wasn’t leaving Brissy . And Moylan wanted a kings ransom . Do you really want to chuck a 4 year 4 mil deal at a 28 year old ? Ask Brisbane how that’s going for them now ?

Surely that same argument can be used for all those here who post that it embarrassing that we chased or couldnt get these two?

I don’t think it would have been embarrassing had we chased them as I think they’d be decent signings. I have no idea if we chased them or not and I can’t recall saying it’s embarrassing that we hadn’t signed either of them.

Yeah but they both had half decent squads to begin with. The only way is up with us.

Didnt mean you specifically, but plenty here used the fact that we supposedly chased and missed these two as "evidence" of our embarrassing management.

You have a point about Milford and I assume Moylan.
We could have gotten them at that price. I am not sure if we want Milford as people have pointed out he has struggled in Brisbane with a pretty good forward pack. It could be a career lull or a serious issue.

Moylan has been on fire for the Sharks and has slipped under the radar. I don't know if he is the top shelf fullback signing we want but man way better then Mbye.
